Excellent Teaching thank you - you make the boring subject of History way more interesting for me. This was very helpful for my Interior Design Studies ;)

How interesting! Hearing the history and seeing the buildings makes it all fit so sensibly. So St Marks church and square in Venice honors grave robbers and pirates! Can’t wait to visit!! Ha!

Excellent commentary, it's a shame we don't see the scholar credited

It's Prof Jacqueline Gargus of OH State; a whole history of architecture course: ru-vid.com/group/PLaLOVNqqD-2HUsGTv_GQ3opJoPPjdM9S6.

What about the churches in Wadi el Natrun in Egypt. Those cluster of churches also shows similarity with the Byzantine architecture but were constructed in 300-400 AD

It’s French for pocket poché meaning something is in the wall like a shelf or a seat

Not impressed. It is like a teacher of religious history attempts to lecture on architecture. Lots of side tracking and tunnel vision. Most of the lecture is on the Hagia Sophia (which is too long but on point) but loses track afterwards jumping from Venice to Benedictines to Charlegmagne. Nothing on secular architecure and only two types of churches have been discussed.
