High Hopes Barbie, Thank you for sharing this video. I really enjoyed it! I wish Mattel would create a house for Barbie collectors only, not for children, that offered 3 bedrooms, a living/family room, kitchen, office area and bathrom. Like real houses do today for home buyers. I would want it priced about $200. They would have many adult collectors buying it. They would not need to put furniture in it as we already have our own furniture and could decorate it as we want. ALso, no pink /purple/blue in it. Just plain white walls with black trim. We would definitely buy it, and have fun decorating it the way we want. Maybe you should pass the message. Thanks again.
I agree! Have you checked out the Rainbow High House? It is definitely more adult-ish with more modern colors...although..it still doesn't have 3 bedrooms! But, lots of room!
And even more fun building the whole house instead of buying it. Personally in my opinion I think it has no sense paying so much money for just a plain house who has nothing. Buying some foamboard panels it's less expencive and I can do as much as I like.
I had the Barbie Talking Townhouse as my first barbie home. With the VW Microbus parked out front 😃 My collector friend just bought the Magical Mansion NRFB and we're gonna build it together soon 🥰
Fun fact: the Grand Hotel at 5:26 was later repurposed into the East High School playset for High School Musical in 2008. Some parts were remolded with different designs but the general shape is still there.

yk they should make it so there is more space to play in the newer barbie dreamhouses AND HAVE THEM IN MORE NEUTRAL COLOURS LIKE ANYTHING BUT PINK, even a light pink with another colour would be nice. im sick of seeing the hot pink, waterslide houses. reasons i own more older ones

Thank you! We had the original 1962 house, it came with the house my parents bought and my little sister still has it, even though my older sister had it when we were kids. I have (had) the 1967 folding house. I gave it to neighbors with twin girls before I had my kids, they immediately broke off the table.
My first house was the 1963-64 one. I've had so many houses since then that I have lost track. We have moved so many times, and each time I've had to get rid of my houses and a good portion of the dolls and playsets because we wouldn't know if there would be room in the new place or we would be moving into a smaller place. My favorite small house is the Totally Real House, and my next favorite house is the Beach Bungalow. I had a lot of the All Around House/Home playsets. The first years they were available they were in the light turquoise which went great in the Beach Bungalow. Mattel likes to put out a house or playset in one color and then the next year put the same things out again but in a different color.
I've noticed that about Mattel... And, oh my gosh, you've been a life long collector! That is amazing! So sorry you've had to get rid of so much. 😭😭 That would be really hard. I also love the Totally Real House but I've never had the Beach Bungalow... I know you're still short on space but hope you have all you want still!!! 💗💗
Nice video but u forgot some houses, plus u got mystaken with the years for some of the townhouses, the 1983, which is the one I had as a kid and still have is with orange elevator/lift and background with drawings not pictures, and there was one from the 70's with orange columns. From the 80's there were few more houses and the pretty living rooms that attached together were forming a house. Btw my favs are the Dream House from the 80's in pink, the pretty living rooms, the living pretty townhouse, the blue foldable one and the pink foldable one with the cute ribbon. Then I add the houses of the heart family.
I re-did the video and made the corrections you suggested! Thanks for making me aware, it actually helped me find 40+ more houses I didn't have in this video. I'm still not sure if I captured the pretty living rooms that attached together to form a house though? Happy New Year!

And u got mystaken with 80's townhouses, the 83 one has orange elevator not pink, I know cuz this had been barbie's house of my childhood, but if u cannot find pics I can give it to u, apart this the new video is very cool, good job!

My favorite Barbie houses are the 1978 Dream House, the 1982 Dream Cottage, the 1990 Barbie Magical Mansion and for traveling the 1998 fold-out blue house. In my own collection-- My all time favorite is the house with the garage!!!!! I love it. It looks like a real home, I love the floor space and I have somewhere to park the car. The house does have a lot of pink, but, I solved that by toning it down with pink, black and white decor. I have also built 13 cardboard Barbie houses. I am an adult collector. Mattel really needs to create a Barbie house for us collectors with at least 3 bedrooms in it. Just saying.
My first and last Barbie house is something I have NEVER been able to find despite many years of searching. I don't have the box or anything so I don't know the name, but I'm assuming it must've been released between the years of 2001 - 2006. It's a pink bungalow looking house, with a teal foldable roof. The couch folds into a double bed and the double bed folds up to reveal a bathtub which had a working shower head. There's a kitchen and foldable table on one side, and there's a computer and folding sink with a pull up mirror, with shelving on the other side. The highlight of this house is that there are 3 buttons which reveal a toaster, which actually pops toast, a tv which used to light up, and a lamp that used to light up. If anyone has this kind of house/knows what I am talking about, please comment, because I've been going mad trying to find the house lmao. It's definitely made by Barbie too, as it had the logo. I vaguely remember having a pregnant Midge doll with it (but that could've been bought separately of course).
Wow! It sounds like an amazing house!! Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with it. The only Barbie house I know of with a foldable double bed is the 2 story beach house, but it doesn't have the other features you describe!! I hope you are able to find it! Let us know if you do! I'm curious as to what it is!!

Oh my goodness I remember the 2009 vacation house. It mysteriously disappeared. I asked my dad and he said it was in the shed... Yeah it wasn't there. I'm still mad about it too.
Im a bit shocked that you showed stuff such as Beach Bungalow or Grand Hotel, yet you didn't include even single castle from 00s!!!! For all children born from 96 to 2005, their ideal B home was a castle, with ofc Swan Lake & Princess/Pauper sharing the throne...
