Sword master Miyamoto Musashi writes his Book of Five Rings just before his death and the civil wars end in Japan. For martial arts, a new word is created ‘Budo’ the Way. Professor Takashi Uozumi, is a professor of Japanese martial history and one of Japan’s leading experts on Budo and the life of the swordmaster Miyamoto Musashi. During our interviews, professor Takashi Uozumi was the director of the Budo and Sports Research Institute at the International Budo University in Japan.
