Cable is one of the best fighters in the MU. He beat Captain America twice (and one of the those times Cable was in severe pain and near death from his Techno-virus) and even stood his ground against the Hulk for a short while.
Cable has been one of my all time favorite superheroes for years. He's way deeper and complex than what most people initially see him for. And he has one of the best orgins in comic book history.
Yup. Casuals and clowns just say "dUr TyPiCaL 90's hErO"... You can tell they never read Cable, if they can even actually read. Cable is probably the only character in Marvel that canonically created himself... If he never traveled back to ancient Egypt to kill En Sabah Nur before he became Apocalypse, Apocalypse wouldn't have existed, and wouldn't have been around to infect Cable with the technovirus. That is why I hated how they did Apocalypse in the movie... They had the perfect opportunity to introduce 2 fresh characters, have a compelling story, AND tie it in to all the others that came before it, but instead we got Ivan Ooze.
christopher hinton As far as I know every one who "stayed dead" eventually came back one some shape or form. Before it was Bucky, Gwen, Uncle Ben, Jason Todd, Jean Grey (I mean after all the resurrections), and Indie comic book characters. Everyone I just mentioned has returned in some shape or form, Winter Soldier, Spider-Gwen, Spider-Verse, Red Hood, X-Men: Red. I doubt there is a list anymore. I'd like to see it too. (+)
I remember that big reveal. In fact an old magazine named Wizard actually suggested that that specific Uncanny X-MEN issue was Cables origin, as did numerous fans who wrote in. It was the first time that I experienced a crazy fan theory become a reality and realized how much fun it was to speculate and debate with fellow fans.
I understand a lot of fans who discount Cable as a generic 90s hero, but from the perspective of someone who didn't grow up around that, he's really unique compared to most of the popular heroes based on his appearance and powers alone. The story seems pretty cool as well, especially as a big fan of Kyle Reese, the T-800, and Future Trunks.
I got to say that Cable's bio is really interesting.I don't know how I would feel if I am in Scott's shoes knowing that he lost his son and then returned to him but a century older.
I was around for all those books and read alot of them i just never found him interesting at all . nor understood his story really, too much back and fourth and sideways to really give a crap about him or Xforce . that was the Era of over saturation of Xbooks and characters wich i think killed the Xmen .
I remember walking out of the first movie and hearing someone say that he’s excited that Deadpool 2 might be on cable. I didn’t have the heart to break the news to him.
I've always liked cable. I had the first appearance of baby Nathan back in the day. With xforce being in the new deadpool movie you should do an origin on them and domino since she is his main love interest
Dave Moon History of Adam Warlock: Adam was manufactured by a shit-ton of futuristic machines. After leaving the machines he immediately gains godlike power and helps defeat Thanos. The end.
Galaga Kidd That's all I know about him at the moment. I know there has to be more to him. I picked up 2 of his comics and he seems interesting. I want to know more but there are no origin videos on him. Everything on RU-vid has to to do with how he'll fit into the MCU and other theories.
He is 90's because that's when he was created. On top of that he was created by mister **extreme 90's disproportionate body and excessive use of tactical pouches** himself Rob Liefeld.
DUDE! I thought you stopped making content because I haven't seen you on my feed in almost a year...turns out some how I was no longer subscribed to your channel. Glade you are still around. I love this channel
Do you think you could do an episode talking about the time cyclops merged with apocalypse? Because I think that is a very interesting things to share and talk about. When I saw it happen and it blew my mind
Loved the "Doc Brown: Great Scott!" Snippet lol Also, damn Cable's origin is a bit busy. Also, Cyclops has had a messed up life lol Edit: Can't remember specifics but, aren't X-man and Cable alternate versions of Nathan Summers?
I started seeing Cable in New Mutants Comics that my cousin had. Then I got a subscription to the X-Force and he became my favorite . Deadpool was around then but I don't remember him being that funny then heh.
Cable is really the reincarnation of Longshot. The star in the eye is the hint. Mojo created him to make the Marvel mutant titles suck ass through most of the mid/late 90's.
Mother askani who cloned him to make stryfe was actually his sister Rachel grey (Phoenix) from an alternate reality. He was named after Mr . Sinister Nathaniel Essex, Charles Xavier proof x, Christopher summers Corsair cyclops dad. He also bonded with the soul of a celestial ship who helped him access his teleporting abilities.
The rules that the mcu is going with for time travel mean cable or anyone never really time travel. They just go to a reality that is like in a different time zone.
Are you going to cover more stuff from the valiant universe in the future? Since Vin Diesel has been confirmed to play Bloodshot. I am a fan of the Valiant universe so that would be nice :)
Cable can be altered and have any power, up or down, because he is a guy from the future. With him in the here and now, that future no longer exists unless he is doing it *because* he was in the past. Marvel Comics can use this to bring a bunch of possible future Cable versions into even a single issue. That would bring about a time traveler crunch and even conuncil.
Hi, I'm new when it comes to reading comics and since i love marvel movies so much I decided to give the comics a shot. Little did I know marvel has so many more comics than I'd anticipated I was wondering where to start so if I could get some pointers in the right direction it would be much appreciated. (I have tried reading infinity gauntlet and infinity war but they were slightly confusing for me)
