History of Calabash Seafood | NC Now | UNC-TV 

I've been coming to Calabash and eating at Beck's since I was a child with my grandparents and parents. My dads side of the family are all from around Columbia SC and they found this gem many years ago. We have lived in Kentucky since 1974 but always vacationed somewhere up and down the coast around Myrtle Beach. If we stayed a week, we drove north across the state line to Calabash at least twice to eat! I've tried to explain to people that "Calabash Style" isn't the real deal and they MUST go there and experience it! Amazing

Betty's Seafood... good food, live music, outside dining on the waterway. The best.

I’ve gone to Becks since I was little in the 1960s with my parents. I still plan trips just to eat there once a year. Need a road trip this summer!

Moving here with my family in a few months. Cannot wait for a change of pace!

So now I have to go to Calabash and have some oysters for dinner! Why was there no mention of the Seafood Hut??? That is my favorite restaurant.

My moms side of the family is the original owners of becks where my mom worked with here family in the 80's. I love the food so come on down to calabash to get some old southern seafood
