Catwoman was actually originally based on actress Hedy Lamarr. For The Dark Knight Rises, Anne Hathaway based many elements of her performance on Lamarr's work. If you go back and watch some of Lamarr's femme fatale roles you can really see it. Hathaway also resembles Lamarr so to me, her performance felt like a special mix of early Catwoman and modern Catwoman come to life.

One of the greatest comic book characters ever made. Not that she’s a woman, it’s the fact that every time she enters a scene both comic book and movie/tv wise she always ups the anti and manages to keep you on your toes about what she is going to do. Besides stealing she was always unpredictable and was always two steps ahead of the greatest detective himself, Batman. Even in a relationship.

When it's established how much Batman loves Catwoman, BOTH characters are able to grow. As official matriarch of the Batfamily, she'll be able reach her full potential as a character, and receive more appreciation from Batman fans.😻

There are also Catmen... But Catwomen are typically nimble and furious at times, and Catmen seem to be more in tune with the magic of cats. Research into this has been extremely excruciating at times, being turned into one of those Catmen for the sake of science and curiosity. Using any magic will drain you at least a little, with the bringing back of life it's at risk of your own, and using your aura to set up a protective barrier between man and demons is tiring indeed. Just to name a few things Catmen are capable of doing; they can also heal the weary, banish undead and otherwise dead beings to the underworld, and make someone fall asleep just by being tired around them. Just like a cat, but there's also a light that they can fight off evil beings with, special frequency changing abilities, emotional response changing abilities, etc. They're also quite able to learn new skills along with applying them to everyday tasks. If a cat revives you and you've been gone from your body for a while, you become a Catman or Catwoman, but you must be worthy of the cat reviving you or they won't do it... And the cat must be strong enough to do it without fail, without dying in the middle of doing so. I don't recommend trying to get this to happen, it's up to the cat, and they might just let you go into the underworld. As cats are literally keepers of the underworld, they have a duty to uphold in the house, as was described and helping people pass on to the next life. Protecting the person who died in hopes of safely sending their spirit off, by laying beside them or on their chest if they're lucky to have befriended the cat. Don't trust that you'll be chosen to be a Catman or Catwoman... I was lucky to even have a chance. Magic is science not yet realized here, but some places it's the same either way. Electrical energy courses through your veins, and you cannot understand that you're capable of so much more than living with it? It is the same with Angels and sorcery alike. Just that the power of prayer is stronger than magic.
