I love the pool at the Grand Floridian! Amazing vibes and super chill. Reserve one of the seated areas with tv for the day and it’s amazing! Can’t wait to do it again!
I have to go with Boardwalk pool. Love, love, love Leaping Horse Libations! Can't go wrong with a Tilt-a-Whirl drink! The cast are GREAT with the entertainment and the pool never seems to be too crowded. Also the lounge chairs right by the bar are great bc even with a light drizzle, you stay dry because of the umbrellas. Everyone leaves and we wait it out lol.
The incredible ambiance and food and drink possibilities at the Wilderness Lodge pool area always keeps me coming back for more. The lighting of the pool area as dusk settles in combined with the sounds of the water (once you are used to the geyser...) relax me away every time!
Great show as always! I am torn when it comes to picking one location for the pools. I would start by saying the Grand Floridian. I love both pools the resort offers. It is one of a few that offers private cabanas. Best day by the pool is definitely getting cabana number 4, enjoying the pool and slide along with getting lunch. Have to give a shout out to the pool attendant Bary that we see every trip. He is amazing! The decision becomes so hard after visiting Aulani. They have so many pools to offer and the lazy river!!!! Who wouldn’t mind being stuck at Aulani, I know I wouldn’t.
We just had the pleasure of staying at Beach Club for the first time in January and our kiddos absolutely loved Stormalong Bay and the sand bottom pool. They loved the beach balls and playing in the sand. It was wonderful to sit and watch them have a wonderful time. And getting ice cream at Beaches N Cream after can't be beat!
Animal Kingdom's pools for me. I just love the setting of Kidani's pool (great slide, too). Jambo's pool not too far behind. From either pool, you can get up and go see animals or get food, then back poolside to relax.
The Main Pool at Animal Kingdom Lodge Uzima Springs Pool is the best and very underrated. Its Huge, the pool bar continues with the great theming of the resort. The Mara is right there or if you work up a big appetite you can change and go to BOMA!!!! You have the animals just outside, you truly are taken away to a special place . Samawati springs pool at Kidani is also a hidden Gem
The pool would be at Boardwalk. Here is the reason why: 1- The tilt-a whirl drink! The bartender , Ty, is a great bartender. He doesnt make it too strong or too fruity and he add sprite to it. The drink doesnt have too many crazy ingredients so there is no 'hangover headache' from it. 2- The perimeter is convenient so it is really easy from any space around the pool to get to Libations for those drinks and those snacks! 3- Libations isn't too big and they have 3 bartenders so never a wait! 4- The seats in front of Libations are PERFECTION bc they are fully covered at all times of the day so you are in shade from hot sun and covered from any rain . Also, they are right on the otherside of the entertainment. So when they have the songs/ games the shape makes you still close to the sound. 5- The slide is fun and long and you can get to it from any spot. 6- The shape of the pool makes it easier for you to see your kids at all times. There are no nooks and crannies so I can always see them. 7- The rooms that are pool view are right next to the pool. Like right there!!! 8- There is a long space in the middle to play ball in the pool easily 9- The hot tub is close and not in a weird far away space. 10- The cast members and life guards and entertainment there are always so WONDERFUL
There is no greater pool than the pools at Saratoga Springs. With Saratoga being the the resort of last resort’s we have learned to love the pools there.
The main pool at Aulani overlooking the sunset with the run over water wall and I can also take my son under the waterfall and to the jacuzzi all on one. And that’s one of the pools that’s warm even in December and January. I love it.
I’d do the Polynesian pool! They have two beautiful pools. The quiet pool has cabanas and an awesome hot tub. The main pool is amazing for our grandchild with its slide and play area and most importantly, a view of the castle!💜
Great episode folks! I find it interesting folks who are worried they will get treated differently for being resale owners. Why would it matter? You are still paying annual dues so there should not be any difference in treatment
Another fabulous, information filled show delivered in a very fun manner 😃 It's a tough call for a favorite pool but I think my vote would go to the Polynesian pools! It is hard to beat being in the Lava Pool area watching the Magic Kingdom fireworks and experiencing how panoramic they really are😍
Grand Floridian. I haven’t stayed at many resorts yet, though! But I will never forget playing with my son in the waterfall at VGF and seeing the monorail go by! Few minutes later Goofy and Donald were on the beach taking pictures. Loved it.
The main pool at the Polynesian is my absolute favorite! I’ll also add that I got the DVC discount everywhere that accepted it last trip, despite being a resale member. I showed my card and no one questioned it! I know it’s not a for sure thing, but it worked out for us last trip.
I may be a stand alone for this, but I love Bay Lake Tower for the pool area. You have Bay Lake Tower, the Contemporary, the relaxing beach area, the view of the lake, the splash area, and all the recreation right there. We bought two resale contracts (with you guys) for BLT. Both contracts with restrictions. We wanted to stay at the Contemporary and the savings cannot be beat. We decided we don't need any member benefits with the savings we have.
i would have to choose the pool at Animal Kingdom Lodge, Jambo House. you not only get a great pool and bar lounge, but hot tubs about the pool area. You also are just steps away from a few animal views from one of the hot tubs. Game room is attached to the pool area and a quick bite to eat next to your lounge chair. You can't go wrong at this pool!
We own at Beach club and Poly. Poly is currently our favorite pool to lounge because there’s a splash pad and loungers close to the pool. Beach club is hard to watch the kids while lounging. Probably as the kids get older it will change but our current fave is def Poly!
Probably be the only one that says this, but I really like the Disneyland Villas pool, especially if you get to include the existing Monorail slides. The new Palette pool and Steamboat Willie splash pad are very fun. and those two slides along with the E ticket and D ticket pools are a great combo when comparing to all the other slides at the WDW resorts. Don't forget about Trader Sam's right there too.
@@worldofdvc Yes, Disneyland trip for a show, make it happen, and be sure to take your resident Disneyland expert to show Derek how cool the original park can be. 😊
The pool area at Aulani is my absolute favorite place to hang out. The views, the design, the food... As much as I love the pools at WDW, they can't compete with Aulani.
Ok, part of me wants to say Polynesian for the bar… but, can I say Animal Kingdom Lodge again???😂 2 pool areas, an epic splash pad for the kids at Kidani and a short little wander from the pool areas leads to a savanna overlook with the animals… hard to beat 😉
The Lava pool at the Poly is my choice for favorite pool. Plus, there are Dole Whips at Pinapple Lanai and the Tiki Terrace or Barefoot Bar for drinks and snacks.
My favorite pool is the quiet Oasis pool at the Polynesian. It feels like a step back in time. So Mid-Century modern. Like it's 1970's and I'm at a brand new place called Walt Disney World and there's a cool tiki vibe going on. John Lennon stayed here, how much cooler can you get?
hard to name just one favorite pool. The pool at Kidani is my favorite; no, the BLT/Contemporary pool area; no, the VGF pool. All three are great!!!!!! BUT, Disney needs to heat them more in March!!! Last week the pools at BLT/Contemp were way too cold.
I have 450 direct points, 200 at Disneyland Villas and 250 at Riviera. I chose direct because of the contract length :) I'll have my points into my late 80s
This Friday Derrick will be in the Grand Floridian? My wife and I will be at Aulani this Friday. My two oldest daughters have already been to Aulani. This will be our first time to Aulani.
It’s like your asking me to pick my favorite child cause I am a pool relax lounger fined but if you making pick one pool to relax at would be grand Floridian over sartoga just because I love the pool bars there
pls stop spanking the desk... or get mic stands for your mics that don't touch the desk, if you guys really like to do that so much. I couldn't make it through the episode because of the constant THUD THUD THUD
