Episode 5 of "History of Entrance Themes." This videos goes through some of the theme songs used by former WWE Superstar, Shawn Michaels. (This does not include themes he used as part of a tag team)
Fun fact, the Sexy Boy and Boy Toy parts of sexy boy in all versions were sung by Jimmy Hart pitching his voice up slightly to sound like female singers. He even layered them over each other.
@@CarolinaPanthersGuy thank you , that’s still wild as fuck, whole time i thought HBK had the hoes moaning on the track and it was a grown man who pitched up his vocals smh
I think i actually like Sherri singing his theme the best. Its kinda funny how this song is evergreen. Besides DX and the nwo theme for a few weeks this was always his theme. As a face, as an old veteran Christian family man. Even as old retired veteran who aint exactly banging all the girls left and right like back in the day
I'm not gonna lie, that's actually my favorite version and I wished he'd just switched to that one entirely. Whenever I hear his entrance theme it always seemed off to me cause I expect the higher pitch and increased tempo, and another thing is you can hear the ride cymbals and synthesizer a bit clearer. Makes it seem more grand and "funk-ish", but that's just my take.
So apparently it's the FIFTH version of his theme that's my personal favorite. I always liked the beat of that one the best, but I could never tell which version of Sexy Boy it was.
I'm glad you distinguished between #4 and #5. I didn't like #5 and felt cheated with WWF Full Metal. Only when I realized that the PC In Your House could be played as an audio CD did I get version #5. Similar story with Ultimate Warrior actually.
I always like the sensational sherri(scary sherri) version and the 1st "ARE YOU READY" songs the best..its funny how rock n roll/hard rock slowly faded out around the mid 90s for wrestlers themes and everyone started to gravity to more of a hiphop/rap sound...Kevin Nash talked about that years ago in an interview.
My personal ranking of Shawn Michaels’ entrance themes (most to least favorite): Sexy Boy Are You Ready? Sexy Boy (Sherri Version) Rock Out Pulse Enigma Are You Ready? (Intro Cut) Rhapsody in Blue
Damn, this was a hard ranking. They are all so damn good! So good in fact, cutting the Intro of Are you Ready? drops that song all the way to the bottom of the list! I mean almost to the bottom of the least. Rhapsody in Blue is the only truly bad one of the bunch in my opinion and isn’t able to compete with the other themes.
I remember when the dirtsheets and early days of the internet revealed shawn was debuting new music for DX. And that they didn't censor the nips and ass on the titantron package my junior high friends and I were mezmerised
It wasn’t till 1990 that most members of the roster had entrance music, only some had music before that mostly the top faces did. Slowly in the late 80s more guys got music. Andre never had theme music.
@@AcidRayne100 it's because that was the first time Shawn had a televised singles match, and he used that theme Actually that's just a guess, but I think it is that
