Thank you for making these documentaries. This history, the history of humanity, is overlooked in society and taken for granted. This series is beautiful.
There is no mention of older cultures of Africa, Asia, and South America!! How come? Did they also ferment and store food...I am sure they too must have. Probably need another docu for that.
Lots of documentaries are like this unfortauntely. I call it eurocentricism. You'll also notice that the documentary talks about sailors having a hard time, but doesn't mention anything about indigenous people... and in general, paints "the age of exploration" as something positive, when it was really lots of slavery and abuse. These spices and lovely things were not going and getting traded with average people back home; the trade was funded by the elites, and the elites had their money typically by enslaving others or something similar to slavery
