She has extensive experience in leading Public Affairs communications efforts at Army garrisons in various levels. Tonya came to the award-winning Fort McCoy Public Affairs Office in October 2015 from the Presidio of Monterey in California where she worked for six years. Prior to that, she had extensive experience in all aspects of Army Public Affairs at organizations across the United States, as well as Germany. Tonya’s wealth of knowledge was gained working a variety of Public Affairs angles - both, as a civilian and as a Soldier - since 1990. Tonya holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington. Her various Public Affairs training comes from the Defense Information School.
