The end of a decade being celebrated with the end of a different decade

Ryuki's endings are all canon, according to Zi-O. Each ending represented Shinji rebooting the timeline to achieve the "good" ending. Which is presumed to be the ending that would eventually lead to Zi-O. The "good" ending was Shinji being able to create a timeline where Ryuga never came to existence. Which is how in Zi-O, Another Ryuga could not be defeated through normal means. Because Zi-O exists in a rebooted timeline where Shinji was able to achieve the "good" ending.

I'm glad you gave Kuuga such a glowing review. People honestly overlook this series because it's not as breakneck as the other seasons. The characters are arguably the most grounded and interesting. Yusuke has a great arc, along with his side characters.

My opinion Kuuga: A must watch, even after 20 years, it still holds up with it’s writing, stunts, and characters. Agito: I like it, I feel that it has done some things better than Kuuga like the suit and some writing decisions but there are some issues with the pacing and the mystery does drag a little too much. Ryuki: First time I saw it was average, but after watching it a second time, I enjoyed it much more. Sure it’s not Kuuga or Gaim but I still enjoyed it. Faiz: I was not a fan of it, it was a little too bleak and some of the comedy was too jarring. Blade: Blade was great when I first watched it but after watching more Kamen Rider shows, it does get lost in the shuffle. Still worth watching but it might be better to be one of the first shows to check out. Hibiki: If the show ended at 29 or they didn’t change the staff, it would have easily been the best Kamen Rider shows but the change from 30 onwards slogs it down so much that it can’t be ignored. Kabuto: My first Kamen Rider show, the fight and special effects really makes it worth watching but the plot is messy and and they could have done a bit more with the characters. Den-O: I enjoyed how different it was at the time I saw it, I’ve noticed that there is a bit of a hatedom lately but on its own, it’s a fun show and does have its surprisingly dark moments like Yuto’s story though it can be too episodic. Kiva: The music quality and the story about the father was enjoyable and they have excellent Rider suits but everything else was a big drag to watch. Decade: If you like Decade, great but in my humble opinion, it is my least favorite Phase 1 Heisei show and perhaps out of all the Heisei shows along with Ghost. The plot is non-existent, the characters are unlikable, the AR Worlds were good in theory but executed poorly and they didn’t seem to know what to do after the Hibiki world. I like Kaito since he’s a huge troll and the music was great but that’s the only positive thing I can say about Decade.

Blast from the past! I lived in USA so my first KR is Dragon Knight. After a few years, W was currently airing in Japan but I decided to watch some of the older series first. I start out with Kiva since I think he had the coolest design. I then try out Decade but I was overwhelm with all the past rider they show in the first episode so I then decided to binged from Kuuga and so on. By the time I caught up, I think W was around 30ish

19:10 a big shame that Kabuto ditched the 60fps camera that theyve used from Kuuga-Hibiki, could you guys imagine what Clock Up fights wouldve looked like if they were shot in 60 fps

The fact that Kamen Rider Dragon Knight aired on CW4KIDS of all networks will always be fascinating to me for reasons I can't quite put into words.

My thoughts of phase 1 Kuuga: amazing Agito: haven't watched Ryuki: such a good show Faiz: not interested Blade: awesome Hibiki: only will watch the decade episodes Kabuto: awesome Den-o: best comedy Kiva: makes no sense, but still a great show Decade: not perfect but not bad either

The Legacy of Heisei Kamen Rider

Kuuga: Like Agito: Like Ryuki: Love Dragon Knight: Love Faiz/555: Love Blade: Like Hibiki: Not really a fan, but I commend it for doing something different. Kabuto: Love Den-O: Dislike, pretty much the starting point for every I don't like about Heisei Phase 2 Kiva: Initially liked the premise, but though it was boring. Decade: I like it a lot more than most fans. Overall, I prefer the first half of Heisei Phase 1 over the second half. The second half is a bit hit or miss for me.

Here is my overview of Hesei Phase 1, I just love all of them , as long as they keep me entertained , sucked in, pumped, and buying more toys and merch, then Dandy Dory :3

I bet Joe Odagiri would return if they gave him the option to direct and star in a Kuuga movie, probably not but it's fun to dream.

My wife and I really enjoyed Kuuga. So much, in fact, we just bought the TokuShoutsu DVD set (and I hope the subtitling is up to what we saw from TVNihon). Agito was also good. The variety of Riders was neat, and the story kept us watching. Yes, the plot could be a tad... dense... but it got there. Ryuki? It never really "hit" it with me. Toward the end, it got a tad messy and the ending was unsatisfying. Never saw Kamen Rider Dragon Knight, nor any toys on store shelves, and it sounds as if a lack of promotion may have been what hurt it. Looks like it might have been more fun than the Japanese original. Faiz came out of the gate kinda "meh," but it soon grew on me, in spite of a plot which required some fairly dumb character misunderstandings which led to some Shakespearean tragedy. I particularly liked that the Riders were using Smart Brain tech to fight the orphenocs, in spite of the original purpose of the Rider gear being to support their cause. Blade was a bit overwrought, but still very entertaining, with interesting characters and great fight choreography. We never saw Hibiki, but I understand that it was KR in name only, and it stands out to me as a sort of ginger stepchild. It could be good, either as a KR series, or simply for what it is. I will say that I like the music I have heard from it (and I ought to, right?) Kabuto started out SO well, and then... the season sort of fizzled. Still a great series, and one I'd highly recommend, but, with better late-season scripts, it could've been even better. Den-o... What to say about it? It came out on RU-vid at a hard time in my life. I'd just lost my mom (and my dad not long before), and so I associate it and its theme song with that year. I really didn't like Ryoutarou to begin with; he was a squishy, klutzy, little nebbish who was apparently being played for laughs. Fortunately, my wife and I hung on and continued to watch, and he grew on us as his true courage and strength of character were revealed. Momotaros and the other Imajin solidified the appeal of the series, and its impact can easily be seen in how much additional milage Toei got out of it in subsequent movies. We never watched Kiva, either, but I don't think I'd enjoy the split-time plotline. Also, Spawn called, and would like his look back. Decade was, for all its faults, a fun trip back through earlier series, sort of a mega-taisen all its own. The music was great, and in spite of Tsukasa being Tendo's negative image (cool guy who can't be beat by anyone), the series was entertaining. I'm just gonna drop in my opinion of W, the last KR series I watched. In spite of some oddball elements, it was a lot of fun. The "hard-boiled" detective schtick was kinda cool, the Rider transformation was novel, and the enemy organization was actually interesting, without being a bunch of world-beating megalomaniacs (most of the time). It pushed the limits of what I want to see in a KR series, but we were sorry when it ended. =^[.]^=

Here is my thoughts with all of these shows and since I finished Hibiki 4 months ago I can say this. Here is a quick note for you, I don't have it in my heart to hate any of the Heisei Era shows. Hard to believe but oh well. From Kuuga to Decade: Kuuga = positive. Love it. Plain and simple. Agito = positive/natural. There is good in it but it's ok. Ryuki and Dragon Knight = positive. Can't decide which is better so I just love them both. Faiz = positive/natural. Good but too many unanswered questions. Blade = positive. The most heart breaking ending. Hibiki = natural. It wasn't that bad, it was ok. Kabuto = positive. It's cool. Simple. Den-o = positive. Shut up Shinta Reviews. Kiva = positive. Got a lot of Inuyasha vibes. Decade = positive. There is too many people attacking this show for unfair reasons. It needs love not hate.

Kuuga- positive, I really enjoyed the world and characters that the show set up along with how grounded the show was. Agito- also positive. It feels like a solid spiritual successor to Kuuga adding this triangle of protags, and the main mystery was really intriguing. Ryuki- positive(personal fav Rider show), character and plot progression is perfectly balanced, and the show has some of the coolest moments in KR as a whole DK- positive, it has some 4Kids cheese but looking past that it's a Rider show with English speaking actors(Xaviax is also a great villain) which is what it attempted, and I'll always be biased towards it since it was my first exposure to Rider Faiz- Neutral(?), I like the characters enough, but the plot feels like it could be fleshed out more. Blade- Neutral, the story and ending are great, but the character progression is all over the place for me. It drags it's feet at first, but oh boy it has it moments Hibiki-from what I've seen Positive, I liked the more laidback tone and how the show isn't from the perspective of the main Rider. By extension, Asumu is the best character. While I'm dreading watching the 2nd half, being the most unothadox Rider is worth praise alone Kabuto- Positive, the show has so much energy and charisma taking the "Toku is like live action Anime" mindset to the extreme, Kagami is my favorite Rider ever and the real protagonist in the show Den-O- Positive, super fun and wholesome, a little basic but fun, and Zeronos Kiva- Neutral leaning towards negative felt like Den-o with Gothic elements and outside of Wataru's arcs(his relationship with Mio is adorable), and the timeline gimmick nothing grabbed me. It took me 4 years to finish it Decade- Neut- positive, the storyline has crater sized plotholes and technically doesn't end, but the cast and the dimension gimmick made it enjoyable. It's a real "don't think hard about it" show

I lived with phase one mainly because the first show was decade for me and because of that technically every other phase one rider *except hibiki* while i do love the more fun seasons i usually stick to more serious shows like kuuga or faiz mainly on the fact that i just like me some of that juicy jdrama, it’s beautiful. btw love how you mention the teacher episode of kuuga marc its actually my favorite episode of kuuga.

We all different. For me only 3 of those are my favorite just because its memorable than others and my list and descripstion are: 1. Kuuga: a journey to become kamen rider 2. Ryukii: there is no justice, only a wish (from the show) 3. Faiz: the dark side of being human (they are orphenoch thought) And from kiva until present rider i can only describe it as weird. That all may personal opinion

If Hibiki had the city battles of the second half and the character development of the first half through all episodes, I would have gotten into it.

For me, Kuuga until Faiz, positive. Blade until Kabuto, neutral. Den-o, positive. Kiva, negative, but I didn't hate it lol. Decade, positive, the more I think about Decade, it's the most bizarre and interesting series I ever seen, I remember in 2008, I was 12 lol, the first time watching all other riders fighting A SINGLE rider and all of them died, YESSS. The only time I literally mad was the ending, but I get over it, it's still have the ending with the crossover movie. Well, Decade doesn't have his own world lol, so he keeps journey trough the multiverse.

Kabuto: the only two decent less offensive things Shoji Yoremura ever wrote (the other being SHTZ) Den-O: far as Imagin humor, its Flabber & co (from Beetleborgs) meet Douglas Adams' Doctor Who entries dipped in Toei flavored dip sauce. That and the progenitor of post show KR V Cinemas to where it was the entry that never ends Kiva: when Daddy proves more interesting than the son Decade: Saying "Who cares about canon, just shut up and watch!" long before Bryan Singer did via X-Men Apocalypse.
