John Stewart is the most qualified Green Lantern being a Marine he has the will and bravery to weild the ring. His Architecture backgrounds gives him the creativity to make complex constructs. While Hal's pilot background shows he has bravery and Kyle's being an cartoonist makes him good for creativity. John really had the best of both.

@@jimmymagic7686 Yeah. They spoke about the film years ago, and recently confirmed the it was still planned. That's why Hal and John aren't present in the upcoming Green Lantern Corps show. They're being saved for the film. Of which John is going to be at the helm.

As a kid I didn't even know the orignal Green Lantern was a white guy since there really wasn't that much media with Green Lantern aside from Justice League. I always identified Green Lantern being black with John Stewart and even till the modern day with knowledge of the other human Lanterns, John is still my favorite

You would think with John being part of Carol Ferris team, Hal would have known him and been more receptive to him as a Green Lantern. Unless (Carol) Ferris air has numerous across the United States. Let it be known that John Stewart's will is so strong, that it can exceed the limits of the power ring. During Blackest Night, he attempted to rebuild the destroyed planet and almost broke his ring.
