Modern Dree Festival of Apatanis - an interview with Shri Lod Kojee who have conceptualised and organised the Dree Festival into a common platform. Earlier Apatanis do not have such common festival. Shri Lod Kojee has for the first time take up research and selected the Dree Festival as common festival amongst the various festivals of Apatanis, which is feasible to be celebrated in one place in one day. Hence, first Dree festival was conducted on 23rd June'1967 but due to unavailability of cucumber, the date of celebration day was changed to 5th July. Hence, the 2nd Dree festival celebration was conducted on 5th July, 1968. Since then every Dree Festival is celebrated on 5th July of every year.
