Your talent for creating content is off the charts. You blow everyone out of the water. The best thing about you is your consistency. Every single video you put out is a masterpiece. Speechless.
Please support this channel on Patreon: www.patreon.com/Nick930 You'll get early access to next months documentary, along with personalized shout-outs, behind the scenes videos and images, and with enough support - I can finally scale back those annoying ads so you guys can tune in and enjoy an uninterrupted experience. RU-vid falsely flagged this as "Age-Restricted" despite me carefully editing and ensuring that the content would be appropriate. Really disappointing considering the amount of effort I put into this, but if you happen to find this by searching for it, enjoy!
MK Trilogy still remains one of my favorite fighting games. Me and my friends would always play it after class during our high school years, having fun learning all the combos and seeing all the over the top cheesy fatalities they came up with. The N64 version in particular was also surprisingly well balanced, as the boss characters remained unplayable in it. All it took from there was a gentleman's agreement to not use Rain or Noob Saibot and the stage was set for some close matches. I particularly enjoyed what they did with Sub Zero in it, merging both his MK2 and MK3 iterations into one character with a massive moveset.
Tons of fantastic information. I really wish they hadn't departed from using actors for the characters. It made the game stand out and truely blew my mind as a kid. I assumed it character was drawn and was amazed how life like the characters were. A retro update of MK would be very welcome. I want the live action cutscenes to come back
Great video, very informative. In anticipation of MK11 I wanted to brush up on my MK lore and game history. This video helped answer a lot of questions, and had great gameplay. Well done.
Nice job Nick930! I've been a big MK fan since 1992. I thought I knew everything about MK until your video. I did not know that "TAttoo Assasins" rivals put actors of Scorpion/Rain in hot waters thus prevented MK3 having Raiden and Scorpion! Love this franchise!
@@kylekay8838 stop putting politics in video games. No one cares. And if they are " sjw's", than why are the fatalities gorier and more disgusting than ever?
This is, by far, my favorite channel. It's nostalgic and informative. I definitely learn things I never knew about some of my favorite franchises. Thank you so much.
manzo2792 it wasn’t just a skin, it was actually sub zero and scorpion, because you could do their actual moves. If it was just a skin you would still be doing Lui Kang and Kung Lao’s moves lol
Damn dude you deserve more subscribers. I recently (actually i don't really know when i found your channel) subscribed to your channel and found most of your videos fun to watch.
You always have good information in your documentaries. You just always mask your personal opinion on certain games as facts by hiding it in between actual facts. If you could just chill with that, your info is top notch.
with mortal kombat 11, fans were mostly not appeased with the double standards for costume designs in between the genders and how the new character lead didnt seem to care about it.
Your content is always really good^^ especially the documentaries which always does leave me breathless over it's amazing quality!! Keep up the good work^^ and thank you for the great content~
I enjoy watching your content by the way, as it makes me interested in learning about the history of video games, which I used to find about as appealing as being stuck on a broken elevator within an elevator, playing the most harrowing music from an Atari to my ears. So, is there any chance that you’ll consider posting a video that covers the history of companies like Rockstar Games, Bethesda and Ubisoft, for instance? I’d love to hear how those companies ended up becoming the faces of modern gaming.
Seriously underrated channel. Was looking up the history of Mafia games because, well, my cousin is into it and was looking to see what's all the fuss about it. And i was struck by curiosity when i saw the run time of the video, knowing that there are other channels hosting similar content, albeit, with snippets of gameplay from every game of a franchise. Ended up here because, well, obvious reasons, really into MK games. Much more awesome take on the concept of describing the history of games. :D Cheers!
You got a sub from me with MGS but now I just love ya for this video, I thought of my as a big fan of MK but you showed me a couple games I never heard of before
Top notch video. Mortal Kombat blew my mind as a kid seeing and playing it in the arcade and continues to fascinate me no matter how far away they deviate from the original. Thanks for your time and effort in making this video.
I finally watched this video like I said, even though I'm not a fighting game person and more of an action game person. I didn't know a game in this series had kart racing.... Interesting.
Look there are a lot of videos on MK's history that don't censor anything and are monetized fully. Many more videos are out there that just show fatalities also uncensored. He just couldn't take the chance of the video being taken down by a bot and his channel taking a strike while missing out on some good ole RU-vid money having to wait to get the video looked at and reuploaded ... I see it all the time.
I got to be honest, MK4/Gold is my favorite, and I don't know why, it doesn't even have my favorite character, stages or music, But there is something in that game that keeps me replaying it on the Dreamcast
