Hello Just wanted to ask someone who is well versed in adire. I am a Nigerian. I love blue/ indigo adire and have a collection of custom made adire clothing. There were three instances ( i bought from someone i found on etsy and afrikrea who are based in nigeria)when this happened where I noticed the adire had brown/ yellow marks or stains showing through the blue dye. Is this due to the dyeing process or the drying process when they are left on the ground. Would love your opinion.

It could be as a result of the dyeing process ma'am. Such can be avoided though via simply mixing the dye concentrates correctly and dyeing the fabrics correctly.

Hello Happy New Year Thank you for the response. I really appreciate it. It must be the dyeing process, because I noticed it from 2 different people I bought adire from. So I was wondering if it was a common appearance in adire.Could it also be the wax staining the fabric. Many thanks.

Happy new year. No, its not the wax ma'am. The wax doesn't leave a stain.
