Any tape, put it in a cassette player , plug it into a distortion pedal(any distortion pedal) turn all the knobs up to 11, plug that into an amp or your computer and play it loud.

it's always really spooky when people from like 100 years ago totally predicted stuff that's going on today. it's too bad because these guys would do pretty decent ad revenue today. maybe the future was slightly less glamorous than they expected tho.

It's just noise. Not music. And maybe that's the point? Because some people have an issue with authority or rules, and like flaunting their ability to disobey whatever structure is considered actual music. So it's more of a pride thing. And a big F U to everyone who actually enjoys making and listening to music. It's strange people get satisfaction from something like that. But it's also strange how people can get satisfaction from an arm shoved shoulder deep up their butt. This world is messed up.

A quick curiosity question. Is Throbbing Gristle going to be mentioned in the next part, or does Industrial not fall into the Noise genre? They pushed Industrial into visibility for the most part, if what I know is true.

+MarmaladeJacket Noise is just a broad umbrella term referring to whatever the majority of listeners deem as undesirable or non-musical, being included in someone's music. It's a bit vague to pin down, and it can change all the time depending on the opinion of the time.

I am not sure how that follows, you seem to be saying that metal vocals are not noise vocals; that is your opinion. I have not found any such statements other than your own to say it is the way you describe it. But I mean it doesn't really matter does it? It doesn't change the music at all just from what you or I have to think about it. Music is a social construct around sound, none of it goes really beyond opinion.

I am composing Ambient currently and now going into Noise compositions. Taking a challenge for myself in making Noise Music popular and especially in Asia, which most people never heard of Ambient Music. I'm currently in progress composing for my full Guitar noise album. Where is "Ives's Central park in the dark"? It's literally composed city noises and chaos from 1906, to a strings orchestra, 2 pianos, a bunch of woodwinds and some brass. It is amazing though, which is definitely not the point of noise music though :D
