Thank you so much for 400 subscribers I didnt even think I could get that many. And thanks for watching the video :D anyway happy new years there should be a video out maybe by next week.
As a Dane i always thought about how Norway felt about being a part of Denmark/a Union with Denmark. How do you feel? I feel we treated you alright compared to Sweden
@@peterwillemoes4824 Im norwegian. to be honest we dont know. i dont think we learned in school that danes or swedes treated us bad. life was hard and we had nothing interesting back then. but we learn about the change of language stuff. Danish was the noble language, norwegian became poor ppl language(super simplified). We learned alot more about the swedish part than the danish part cus alot more "important" history happened, so it gets more mentioned. Did we even wanna fight for independence from the danes? We didnt do much during the danish rule and it was kinda ruled equally but that doesnt get remembered or mentioned enough. Also ww2 happened. :D We do grow up with sweden and denmark being our brothers and sisters. and after writing all this I think maybe norway is the little one that needed parenting after the viking age.
@@peterwillemoes4824 I just remembered we hate the swedes more cus of ww2 neutrality that the older generation feel like a betrayal. So to us the danes are just amazing. We also have swede, norwegian and danish jokes where the swede is always the dumb one. I guess you have that aswell
@@enok-hansen4635 Some are still salty from the failed attempts to be 1 country from wars and force... So far we haven't tried through peace and democracy.
Also one of the balls are my great great great grandpa's brother. His name was Henrik Wergeland. Im related to Henrik's brother, Joseph Frantz Oscar Wergeland. Cool to see these type of videos!
We Brits were glad to help you Norwegians during the Second world war and we received your big tree each Christmas as thanks for our help and we put tree in Trafalgar Square in London each year.
Congratulations on the excellent work. I'm from Brazil. Even though I don't share the same History, I confess that I was moved to see the historical trajectory of your country. Congratulations, once again, to everyone involved in this video - in this excellent work. Please continue to cheer us up with such Stories. Thank you very much.
Great video. I loved it and learned new things about my country i didn’t Even know. Loved how you showed us all the names of each of the flags from the entire video
Beautiful Norway ❤️ The Scandinavian peoples also have an interesting history and I also know the difficulties they have faced. Good luck, a hug from Italy ❤️❤️ P.S. Thank you for translating the names of all the balls into English. Obviously I recognize the current flags but for example the historical balls of the kingdoms of Northern Europe I could not distinguish them.
Norwegian history 1200-1950 is actually pretty sad. Also pre-1200, but the viking age has been idolized. Generally, life in Norway has been harsh. This is why our politicians were such great long-term thinkers when striking oil.
@@Max-xf8bl Norway holds no grudges towards Germany, only non-Norwegians would say that. Everyone knows better. The only ambivalent relationship is with Sweden lol, they hold traditional Norwegian land. But that also is for us only to bicker about and nobody else are allowed to mock our brothers Denmark and Sweden :p (or little brother Iceland or close cousin Finland, Færeyar). Scotland and Ireland are family friends. Austria, Japan and Dakota and Minnesota are friends with shared interests.
Denne videoen var veldig detaljert, interessant og lærerik. Jeg lærer norsk på Duolingo og jeg vil virkelig bo i Norge så jeg trenger å kjenne på den norske kulturen. Jeg bor i Russland nå.
A country that never gives up. Everything we been through, The impossible country is now possible because we never gave up. And if u are asking me why i love my country so much..... Well this is why Utmerket video 👍🏼🇳🇴
Very interesting work! One correction if I may please, namely at 3:45: you should've also coloured the Isle of Man which was part of the Kingdom of Mann and the Isles (or, more commonly known as the Kingdom of the Isles), a Hiberno-Norse (or Norse-Gaelic) kingdom. Keep up the good work and all the best! Beste hilsener fra Romania! God jul! P.S. Also, it is very likely that the Native Americans the Norsemen found in Vinland attacked them first, not the other way around.
Kevin MacLeod composed the soundtrack for this (well, not literally, just that his great songs are royalty free and can be used for anyone for any purpose, including commercial purposes). He is a great composer definitely worth checking out!
The Kalmar Union didn’t humiliate Sweden in the start. Sweden was really happy to get rid of Albrecht and Sweden asked Denmark to inherit their throne. I’m just throwing it out there, and I am Swedish myself.(I’m a Swedish patriot too), I’m not say that it didn’t humiliate Sweden, It did after the Stockholm massacre.
Isn't a traditional (german) plate called brawust (i think brawust) and i want to know is it reall sussages and an other ingredient i don't remember how it's called but i french it's called chou (i think)
As a Norwegian-- People from Denmark, Sweden and Iceland are as much my own flesh and blood as Norwegians, our history runs deep and our people have always mixed and matched. We are all norsemen.
To make the history of Norway (and Scandinavia) short, it's been a struggle for power between the 'houses/clans' of power from day one. Basically, it was just Games of Thrones.
14:15 Although we don’t know for sure what really happened there, we know that a musket can’t shoot that far. I’ve been to the fortress myself and I’ve seen the distance with my own eyes. If you look at his skull the bullet went right through his head. And that would not have happened if a Norwegian shot him from the fortress. He was most likely shot by one of his own men. If not a Norwegian in disguise.
This was super godord content! I wil give u A subscibe right away now!‼️🇳🇴Much of it is so correct and if its not its A very funny way!🧡I like that u took the explotion in Oslo and Utøya!🙁But good job
