In the mid 70s growing up in Southern California… when my buddies and I first stumbled upon Pringles we couldn’t get enough of these. We had a club house and with our dues would save up to buy cans at a time where it became the official food… apart from pepperoni pizza in our clubhouse. Big contest was who could fit the biggest stack in their mouth without breaking before biting. Good times… still my favorite chip… I live in Tokyo now… a little different… sometimes I still try and fit a mouthful and I’m 58 years old!… love the old packaging. Domo!
You missed one of the most interesting bits of Pringles history - the designer of the machine that cuts out those Pringles was a young mechanical engineer named Gene Wolfe, who would go on to greater fame as one of America's best science fiction and fantasy authors, honored as a Grand Master by the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America in 1996, winner of the World Fantasy Award for Lifetime Achievement, and inducted into the Science Fiction Hall of Fame. Neil Gaiman, among many other writers, has credited Wolfe for inspiration of his own work. Mr. Wolfe passed away in 2019.
Member the days when Pringle’s were coated with a thick layer of the powder seasoning? Now they skimp on it 😕 Just another reason to invent a time machine and travel back to the 80’s 👍
i heard a story behind the creation. he cheated people by making ''chips'' using salted pieces of chip shaped cardboard and doling them out to people to taste. i dont believe he was arrested though, just mistrusted
Pringles supports Russia’s brutal invasion of Ukraine. Pringle’s products in Russia state “Support our (Russian) troops”. Will you join me in boycotting Pringles?
I was just enjoying your video until you started speaking at plaid speed. And for what? Why rushing through and making it impossible to remember anything? Where's the rush? Unliked.
