Hi movieflame, your videos are so good and informing and pjo is one of my favourite series’s so it’s nice to finally see it being picked up by someone of your video essay caliber also yeah it’s funny that Jack was attracted to riptide and wasn’t it true that jack and apollo met once in a bar?
Same actually! Back in the old days of PS3, you could actually put Riptide 3 on a sword. It wouldn't do anything, but it was still fun, and I'd always do it.
@@AxxLAfriku why the frick do you keep commenting these annoying and egotistical things, you aren’t funny or cool and you aren’t gonna get subscribers from this. No one wants to know about your girlfriends and bragging about them just shows how sad your life is and how shallow you are. Go beg for subs somewhere else because MovieFlame is making proper videos with proper work inside of them and you’re being a piece of crap belittling his work by commenting those annoying messages. I’m sorry but you aren’t gonna get more subs by acting like this. Maybe you could change maybe you can’t but please stop bothering people with these annoying comments, thanks
@@austinmasoni3577 yes but it was one of the most important things in the Harry Potter universe even if it the backstory was only shared in the later instalments- I mean it basically helped write the deathly hallows since it was the first hallow we saw and got used to seeing around
@@iwa2yt512 still when he dose his reviews or character explain videos he goes with the books instead of the movies ye I get some of them arnt cannon but still
When a swrod has a better personality than the characters of a movie based on a book but having different names (books name is Percy Jackson and movies name is Peter Johnson)
That's exactly what I'm doing right now. Started maybe about a month ago, getting pretty much all my reading done at school. Just finished The Titan's Curse today, which for some reason is the book I remembered the least about (by which I mean I remembered literally _nothing_ before starting, so I'm glad I decided to reread the series).
@@damonlopez2197 Yeah, I never noticed any improvement on the books themselves, but I _did_ notice that I've been reading them faster and faster, which likely means I'm more hooked on the book. For example, it took me maybe a week or two to read the first book, but I read _half_ of the fourth book in one school day (the _only_ reading I did at home was waiting for the bus). So I was on pace to read the fourth book in two days, but I decided to play on my phone the second day instead of reading.
I liked the click pen idea except for the fact if your thumb is on it for one more second you’ll lose it. Also it could go off like a gun without a safety in his pocket😂
You should also read the Shadowhunters books. The mortal instruments, dark artifices, infernal devices and last hours series. They are written by Cassandra Clare and are amazing almost as good as pjo, hoo and toa.
Can you do a video when you tell a history of Nico di Angelo or something like that 'cuz i love that person and I know i'm not the only one. I love how he turned out... He even was in Tartarus all alone while Percy was with Annabeth so he really is strong 💅🏻
I came up with a theory! It is basically that a demi-god’s child can see through the mist because the demi-god gains some of the parent’s powers (seeing through the mist) but not all as demi-gods aren’t as powerful as the gods
Percy Jackson has always been my favorite series I've been reading them since I was like 13 in 06. To be honest I'm so happy you've been making vids on it. There has been a serious lack of PJ content on RU-vid for years I was so upset by this I've begun working on my own Percy Jackson video I'll upload maybe some day in the next decade videos are hard to make lol.
I think the sword takes form according to the will of the wielder. In Percy's case, riptide was handed to him as a pen, so percy might have a default mindset that it will only turn into a pen when sheathed. Also, in the books, specifically in House of Hades, he used it to write on a piece of paper(?) to send a message to their camp via burning of offering. I don't know how would the movies (assuming the books would be turned to film) would do that if his pen is a clicking type.
I think that in the movie Percy thinks it’s his father who made the sword but then later if they continue making the movies he learns that it is made by other cyclops
Honestly I don't remember it being a pen for manly reasons, I always thought it was just easier. Think about it, you draw the sword, toss the cap aside and your ready for battle. A hair clip would be to cumbersome to get out and Jason has proved that other disguises, like a coin can be lost easily. Honestly the only one better then Riptide's pen for, is Sumarbandr's pendent form.
It is interesting that Heracles did not credit her. Remember, his nephew got credit for helping him against the hydra. This makes me wonder why he did not do the same here.
God I love Percy Jackson,I had seen the movie before I read the books so I didn't get what all the outrage was about until I read the books Percy Jackson and The Hero's of Olympus 3 years ago and I just finished Trials of Apollo a few months ago
My god!! What a coincidence!! Yesterday I was rereading the Titan's curse and I was checking more info bout riptide. And today when I woke up I got this notification..
I’m sure the movie makers didn’t “mess up” making it change with a pen click makes more sense in a visual medium of a movie or a TV show instead of removing the cap
I too hate the movies, but one thing I always liked was the idea of riptide being a click pen. I don’t necessarily prefer but I always thought it was cool, especially the mechanics of it
I know the movies suck but i will say that Riptide being a retractable pen rather than a capped pen is the only thing i preferred in the film to the book. Apart from that mind you the films were abysmal.
Jack: A pen sword? What kind of stupid idea is that Magnus? Jack after meeting Riptide the pen sword: Wow I wanna be a pen sword. Magnus why didn’t you make me a pen sword? Magnus: Are you serious right now-
mind you...he's suppose to be the son of zeus, like no wonder half the damn stories didn't make sense at all, idk why they didn't just make an original character, instead of an existing character
