1956, my junior year in high school. My dad was a projectionist. simplex machines. I filled in on weekends and vacations for the operators. Two-man booths back then. Same in 1957 my last year in HS.

This is my Great-grandfather's film. I have all the 35mm elements (picture and track) - which have been scanned - and hope to release one day.

Please get in touch with me at david@davideo.tv as we would like a copy for the Seguin Cine Museum. It would be a good program to show museum patrons. We have an 8mm version but your 35mm Transfer would be better.

Yo tube varios cronitos. Proyectores. Datas. Gracias.

Very interesting but why always put the videos in low resolution? Certainly not to copy them?

Interesting - I'd never seen this before. I fix and rebuild vintage and antique projectors on my HORIPET channel (Playlist: "Old projectors and cameras"). I was a cinema projectionist, 50 years ago.

Few people realized that the Philips FP20 and DP75 projectors used a high speed pin and cylinder movement. This pulled down fast enough for the shutter to open 3 time per frame, thus reducing flicker. Early FP20 models used a shutterless pulsating lamp, but it was not powerful enough for the larger theaters, so a shutter was added. The intermittent unit flywheel had 3 notches to trigger the pulsating lamp and these were never removed, even on the DP75 models.
