I was also gonna comment on that the same. I use to pay with it when the feature came out and it was incredible how people were astounded by the fact you can pay without a card or a phone !
6:24 This information is wrong. The very first Apple Watch had an NFC chip for Apple Pay as well. Apple Pay was introduced in the 2014 September Event alongside the iPhone 6 (Plus) and the Apple Watch.
@@AbdulAziz4CaNaDa No, the iPhone 6 (Plus) was the first iPhone with a NFC chip for Apple Pay. However, owners of the iPhone 5, 5C and 5S could also use Apple Pay if they bought an Apple Wacth.
Series 3 is where the Apple Watch really took off and became even more popular. My first Apple Watch was the series 3 and I loved it. Now I have an SE and still love it to this day.
As a VI person, I must admit, I was so IMPRESSED with my first Apple Watch! (Series4) That beautiful, seamless Device has changed my life. And now, after getting my hands on a Series6...well, let me tell you! Apple has done it yet again.
Laser Lens for something like Voiceover: definitely make the investment for a 6. The SE still seems like a great option if you only need it for notifications, the time etc. But for more hardcore use, go with the 6. The Series6 definitely feels snappier and going from something like the 4, the jump in performance is quite noticeable. Also if you want to use Voiceover on the Watch, I recommend getting the 44mm (larger) size: trust me, it helps.
My series three has a shattered screen which only works on the tiniest most non useful part of the screen except for opening the maps on navigation which is all I need it for, still works fine though !
I still use my old 0 gen. Apple Watch from 2015. Its battery still can last for almost a whole day. /8AM-6-7PM/ Since I don't wear it 24/7 it is still enough. However it became very slow, so Im planning to buy a new one this year.
I've had my 8000 Series (original series 0) since launch and am still very happy with it today. I even got it at Apple's HQ store in Cupertino, and the setup and orientation session actually lasted about 10 minutes. The guy showed me how to pair it as well as guided me through everything that could be done with my new watch. The buying experience was like none other, and it wasn't even the Edition, it was a standard model.
I'm really curious to see the sales stats of each watch. The Ultra is the first smart watch I have ever owned. I was on the fence by seven and it looks as if the Ultra has resulted in a landslide of people like me who where thinking about it yet held out until tach got to a certain point. It's as if the price point was irrelevant in the end. I have no regrets on either holding out until tech got here or buying it
The Series 0 was a crazy one. For one, it’s name: SERIES ZERO. And two, it’s $10,000 gold counterpart. I could never see spending that much money on a watch. Not even the Hermés version which is about 1/10 of that price. Anyway I got the SE Nike edition in November and it works great.
Actually, I immediately linked the premium image of the first Apple Watch to Angela Ahrendts who joined Apple just shortly before Apple Watch was unveiled. For me, the Burberry lady is the reason the Apple Stores were aimed to have a more elegant approach, treating the new Apple Watch as their first jewelry to put on on display. Honestly, since that time, Apple accessories have increased astronomically. (For example: Wedge Bluetooth Trackpad for 120 $)
Having owned 3 Apple Watches (Series 3, SE 2nd generation, and Series 9) I gotta say these things have come a long way. I’ve loved every one of my Apple Watches
I received my first Apple Watch in June 2023, I always thought they were kind of ugly, and just another weird device. But after years of seeing more & more of them in public, and having family members talk about how great they are, I had to jump on the bandwagon. Love it so far.
I upgraded from a Galaxy Watch to the Apple Watch Series 6 and let me tell you, the difference in software fluidity is day and night, this thing is flawless.
Dude, same. I put off buying an Apple Watch for so long because I just wasn’t impressed with the Galaxy Watch I had. Finally gave in and it blew me away. Love the thing
@@krishvyas19 I'm talking about the square leaks that have been coming up. Like the iPhone 5 design. THAT boxy design I don't like. The shape of the apple Watch is Really nice.
I'm pretty sure that when I tested one of my Series 2 that I have in stock after a small repair that it was able to do Apple Pay, meaning that it also has an NFC chip. When I look at the screen from the series 2, it has the same 3 connectors as the Series 3 and one of those connectors (on the Series 3) goes to the NFC chip. You sure that the Series 3 introduced the NFC chip?
@@Videoleitung Yeah, that's what I thought. Problem is, Apple themselves state that in order to use Apple Pay in shops, you need at least a Series 3 or a Series 2 from Japan. Odd, isn't it? Edit: I'm blind, it states this information for SHOPS IN JAPAN. Not shops in general.
To be fair... watches were losing popularity due to the smartphone... it was less necessary... but the Apple Watch is different... it's more than just a watch... it was something that worked with the smartphone... the most important gadget of our lives...
Yes watches became less important once phones got built in clocks however, as someone who has an Apple Watch SE I got to say it’s really nice to be able to check the time without having to pull my iPhone 12 out of my pocket.
Great video! I owed the series 2 Nike plus and the 4 Nike and now the 5 Nike . I skipped the series 6 to wait for a different design hopefully next year. This smart watch has changed my life! Thanks Apple. 😘🍎
Got Series 7 45mm Cellular model, connection here in India is not that strong. I don't blame the watch, rather blame Airtel. However, I am having a ball with my new watch.
I kind of miss the simplicity and aesthetics of the first iterations of the software. Or at least I wish they would’ve done some things a bit differently. The biggest change I would’ve liked would be the option to choose between the dock/old friend circle feature. Or perhaps adding the option for more utility from keeping apps in the dock. For example, the phone or contacts app can bring back the friend circle from your favorites list. Or weather has an up to date forecast. Basically bring back the glances in a way. The dock carousel doesn’t really add much to the speed of opening and running apps. In fact it can be faster to get it in the app layout. The glances could often be quite creative. Over the versions the technology and hardware has improved impressively but the software seems a bit messy aesthetically. Classic faces and newer faces have differences in design that are just enough to be noticed along with certain functionalities that aren’t consistent in ways that probably should be. I’m still happy with my SE and most of my gripes are pretty basic. I’m satisfied with my investment overall. I just wish some of the potential for the functions of the software were pushed a little more and the OS was more accessible to development. A lot of businesses and devs seemed to make an attempt when the watch was launched but a lot of services seemed to have abandoned or neglected their watch apps.
I have gotten Apple Watch SE just a little bit over a month now. It was a big upgrade from using Apple Watch series 2 for almost 2 years. I also have an Apple Watch Series 1. Those 2 looked almost alike. I got the SE one for this one app that is on my iPhone SE for my vehicle.
I still use my apple watch series 3 and iphone x from 4 years ago that my mom bought me for xmas, not planning to buy a new one they work perfectly fine!
I went and got a 200.00 series 3 recently, old yes but apple has a good rep for supporting older apple products and it works and does the job i want it to do. Perhaps I will go for the next 7 or 8 but i'm happy for now and it will need some big wow factor to upgrade. I already spent 1,800.00 something on my 12 pro max, so lets not go to nuts on the watch ehh?????
What if the Apple watches are like the iPhone line up since the SE came out after the series 5 same with the iPhone SE original and after series 8 what if there’s no crown on the newer watches?
I have the series 2 and when you said it was painfully slow and only for notifications that described my watch However I am able to apple pay from it so maybe the series 2 has nfc too.
I’ve purchased the Watch 0, then the series 2, then 4 and now Watch Series 5. It’s been another game changer for me. Like the iphone, the AirPods and the iPad. rocks. Period.
When i found out my friend had an applr watch which was the s5 so i thoughtbid get an s3 to give it a go and i loved it so much i upgraded up to an s6 which i still love today
$10,000 for a gold Apple Watch that's obsolete after just a few years, what a misstep. They should have made the Edition model with upgradable internals. The battery alone is basically worthless after a few years, let alone the chip getting slow with updates to WatchOS. I'm positive they would have sold a lot more of the gold watches if they made it clear they would be supported for life from purchase.
Series 1 and 3 made the biggest impact. I remember when I first got my original Apple Watch I was 13 I stayed with it up until the series 4 which seems like the best model right next to the 3 anything after is just small features you wouldn’t use day to day
@@tilumu8799 I don’t know how you wouldn’t by one without a always on display especially since it’s not really that much different considering it’s not like the the always on display watches don’t do much different besides that feature alone
@@rochitgurung9090 maybe but it’s literally the same watch with always on, that isn’t even a difference really minus doing one less thing to check the time.
