That's pretty cool . . . but to be honest, there are some parts of it you may be missing. On the day of the re-opening in 1901, Culdee's first run with Catherine didn't go so well. They were blocked downhill by Ernest going up with his stubborn coach, Caroline. Caroline was taken out of service for a week, leaving Ernest to take "The Truck". By the time Caroline returned to service with Ernest at the end of the week, a big storm arrived, much Wilfred's paranoia. However, Wilfred managed to conquer his fears as he was tasked to collect some supplies with "The Truck". (WongVillage: Climb the Mountains - Culdee Fell) In 1962, shortly after the arrival of Lord Harry, Alaric and Eric, Alaric started to become afraid of heights when it comes to mountains. As a result, he started slowing to a crawl up the mountain, and ended coming down recklessly, though not as much so as Godred. He only ended up derailed at a gradient at Skarloey Road. Wilfred came to the rescue with "The Truck" and advised Alaric that whistling while you work would help you conquer your fears. (TheBuriedTruck: Wilfred Whistles) The next week, Eric and his coach Stephanie, are blocked by a pregnant goat, which they loaded at the back of Stephanie and carried over to the hospital. (WongVillage: Climb the Mountains - Culdee Fell) After Niles' arrival, in 1988, Eric took charge of the first tea train consisting of a single coach carrying Sir Stephen Topham Hatt and Lady Hatt, Mr. Fergus Duncan and the Skarloey Railway's thin controller. (Thomas1Edward2Henry3: The Slopes of Culdee Fell) In 1989, some open wagons are purchased by the railway and Shane Dooiney is put in charge of them, but due to their roughness down the mountain, Shane was left changing at the edge of a cliff, before Niles came to the rescue with a works train. (Thomas1Edward2Henry3: The Slopes of Culdee Fell) In 2001, a Chinese mountain engine named Chang Tai came to the railway after his own mountain line in China closed down. This was because Patrick, previously known as Lord Harry, was in need of complete overhaul. (Legend of the Hills) Then in 2003, despite being in piece, Godred, specifically is boiler and chassis, was feeling left out, and wanting to be useful again. Luckily, some special parts at Crovan's Gate, which were originally meant to be for building a new engine since Alaric was sent for a complete overhaul, were used for finally mending Godred after 103 out of commission. He was even given a new name, "King Godred", and this time, instead of wearing with too much pride, he now uses his name and status more wisely, as any really useful engine should. (Legend of the Hills: King Godred) In January 2004, Eric was sent for an overhaul, so a second diesel engine named Olwyn, a female, came to the railway at the CFR's #11.
