History of the Entire World, I Guess | Reaction 

I've seen this video a stupid number of times, and yet I'm still excited to watch it once more.

This is one of my favorite videos of all time! Between showing it to people, watching it on my own, and watching reactions I've probably seen it 25-30 times and can almost do the whole thing word for word. It's brilliant and took the creator 2 years to make.

"NO!" - Why? "THE SUN IS A DEADLY LASER!" - Oh, okay. Most memorable line!

I would have learned so much more if school was taught like this.

Crazy how you can take any 5-seconds of this video and be able to write a full research paper on it.

That video never gets old. This is how they should teach world history and then let the students zoom into certain things they find interesting

Yes, your reaction was perfect. The laughs, and the stunned "wtf did I just watch" at the end. It took me a few watches to absorb it all.

What blows my mind is that you can take a single second from any point in that video and it's an entire thing in itself. Whether it's a scientific field, or anthropological, or historical.

My favorite part of the video? Your initial reaction at the very end. 19 minutes of having all this thrown at you then is suddenly stops and your brain just cannot compute. 19:23, that is just priceless! And it was my reaction too on the first watch.

I love this crazy but ultra-informative introduction to the history of the world. I wish they'd make much more entertaining history lessons (or any other school topic for that matter). It would make school so much more enjoyable and interesting, leading to all students actually being interested in learning instead of being half asleep of boredom in the classrooms. This video should be shown the first day in middle school as an overview of what they're going to be learning going forward.

That's probably the best reaction I've ever watched of this video. Not a bunch of talking over. No pauses. You got the little nuanced jokes.

The fact that so much effort to censor the curse words, yet the video you watched missed "f*** the church" on the map when he says something about the protestant reformation makes it so much funnier that it's there

Oh, I just noticed a slight mistake in the timeline. He talks about the Hebrews (or the Jews) worshiping one god and THEN talks about the Byzantine and Persian Empires. However, we know that ancient hebrews were polytheistic before they were conquered by the Persians.

Thx for watching the vid that literally started my passion for history btw I know so many random facts just from this video starting my obsession 4 years ago I know like over 2 times the stuff in this video now so yeah.

Extra history has a number of amazing videos told in a narrative style, nowhere near as fast. If you don’t know much about WW1 they have a series called the Seminal tragedy about how it started that’s really incredible that explains 1800’s and early 1900’s in europe as good background. It’s a great place to start and has an avid and generally positive audience for reactors. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-S-wSL4WqUws.html - here’s the first episode If you want to try them out with something smaller than a series they did a number of one off episodes, like the Christmas Truce of ww1, the Berlin Airlift, and Saragarhi - basically the Alamo of the Sikhs. Other ones I’d recommend are Oversimplified which is generally comedic and doesn’t generally give people wrong information when simplifying, and Epic History which are generally longer but still pretty accessible. My personal favorite is probably Historia Civilis, I don’t know if you have any interest in Ancient Rome but his videos basically gave me mine.
