As a dutchman I am happy that my nation does receive some recognition in the countryball art community :) I know we do from time to time. But it's nice to see this.
forgot the 10 days campaign where after Belgium got its independence from The Netherlands, the Dutch launched an attack on Belgium but got destroyed after France sent its army to help Belgium

@Cheezcurdz 3965; Incorrect. The Dutch did not get "destroyed" as you claim. Rather they avoided conflict by and large by retreating from Flanders. Yes, the Ten Days Campaign was a defeat. But the Dutch armies were hardly destroyed. Also, we gained a large part of Limburg and kept Zweeuws-Vlaanderen because of the Ten Days Campaign. So it wasn't entirely a defeat either. We lost prestige. But Belgium lost territory.
2:27 For a short period in the post WW2 era the Netherlands was given 2 small German cities as compensation for the German invasion (They actually demanded a LOT more than that, like a big part of Western Germany or a bunch of cash, but they were laughed at and rejected because all the countries who won WW2 except France didn't want Germany to lose more territory permanently cause last time they did it WW2 happened) but they gave it back to West Germany for 80 million dollars in the 60's. BTW one of the cities the Dutch were given is near the southern tip of NL, on the part of the German border that looks like a leg kicking something
Nice video, but you forgot that Canada played a big role in the liberation of the Netherlands. I would prefer my country to get more recognition. Other than that, this is awesome!
3 Mistakes: 1. The ,,border'' of the Netherlands to the sea changes over time. 2. The HRE is not a single unity. It is just weird. 3. The current eastern Border of Belium was created 1919 not after napoleon.

there are so many mistakes in the history of the Netherlands as shown here. For example, the French era for Brabant and Limburg started in 1794. the batavian republic only started in 1795 and the netherlands became a full part of france in 1810. yet you really never see a good representation of what was going on in the southern netherlands. as if the southern Netherlands had no history of its own that differs in many ways from the northern Netherlands
Belgium lost a large part of Limburg after the Ten Days Campaign. Which was by and large a failed campaign by the Dutch, but it did lose Belgium territory.

@@user-pe1kv5qx3j yes, unification of Limburg and unification of Luxemburg. That is 2 times win-win. Especially for both Limbugs who are threated worse then other provincines in both countries. With a united Limburg we would have a pretty strong voice.
