Respects to John Morgan, who went to St-Peterborough and found Perelman. John also spoke favorably on Yau ST, on related disputes.

Perelman is an interesting character. He rejected the Fields Medal and the $1,000,000 prize because he didn't want to be a caged animal in a zoo. Feynman had similar hatred of his own Nobel prize. Truly great people do not pursue fame & fortune. The converse is also true (unfortunately)
