History of the Weeping Angels - History of Doctor Who

If you think about it, the show breaks the fourth wall because there are a lot of moments where no one in the show is looking at them, but they're still not moving because WE'RE looking at them. Which is kind of cool, but freaky.

The Silence and Weeping Angels are the 2 monsters that really creeped me out

There is some rumors that the weeping angels are undead Time Lords.

You know, I can imagine an episode where it focuses on a character that finds out about Weeping Angels, encounters one, and, instead of running away from it or trying to destroy it, tries to bargain with it to send them back to a specific year, after restraining it and taking measures to ensure they wouldn't be sent back before coming to an agreement. Throw in some foreshadowing, and you could have a dramatic episode where you don't know if they'll be sent back to their desired year or decades before that.

Someone needs to create a horror game about the weeping angels. There can be several levels where you need to escape and the only way to keep the angels from attacking is to look at them.

Here is the true origins of the "Weeping angels" (yes there is an infinity number of origins for the "Weeping angels") Here is why. Basicly it boils down too. Each new Universetimeline that is reshaped by a Big Bang event like the one that was seen in (new) series 5 episodes "Big bang" has thier own version of "The Weeping Angels". Tricky timer whimey bit to understand here is that the Big Bang (same) that was seen during series 5 already happend outside the TARDIS just in The end of series 2 in The episode "Doomsday" where the classic Doctor WHO Universetimeline meet its "Doomsday". Its hidden in plain (sight) wording of the 10th during the "Doctor says goodbye to Rose" scene. =series 3 and 4 are happening inside the new UT until, "Rose's" Dimensioncannon breaks thru the barrier between the classic UT and new UT thus maning it possible to travel between those UT thru the void between them. Tricky timey whimey bit here to understand is... When 10th said goodbye to Rose. 10th was inside the Classic UT and Rose was trapped inside the "Lost/alternate/parallell UT. And as the Big bang happend outside the TARDIS that event reshaped the classic UT into becoming the new UT by "new" future events leading to the birth of the next person to become the Doctor for this new UT. This is all is in perfect cannon and it perfectly explains everything every seen in Doctor WHO since the start. including WHOm the Doctor is, How the Weeping angels came to be, Why Mondas looks like Earth, where the Timelords came from. It explains whom OMEGA (not to be confused with "Omega" that only was a ting sliver of/from the former OMEGA) was. Where the Daleks came from and why (yes Davros made them but there was acctully a bit more to that that meet the eyes, not to go into details how we know this just yet, But in super short Mondas became Skaro with time around 98.000 year into the future of classic UT. For now lets return to 10th saying goodbye to Rose. So Rose was trapped inside a Universetimeline when 10th ended up in a UT that was no longer in contact with the UT she was in. So she joined the "Torchwood" off thier UT and they built amongst much an Dimensioncannon that did not work at start . Here comes the keything to EVERYTHING. Some where around thier late 2009/early 2010 they experienced thier "Doomsday" (Rose described it in episode "Journeys End", while the TARDIS was being hauled off the the Dalek crucible) =They experienced a Big bang too. =Reshaping the Lost/alternate/parallell UT into becoming the classic UT by all its future events leading up to birth of its "new" Doctor in The "past" in the "end" of it. So should something ever happens that would prevent the "future" birth of the Doctor in the "past" The UT would begin break down. ...... Yes we know whom and why the Doctor was born thru this. How his mother is from Earth. How his father was an extraterrestrial How the Doctor is an Hybrid child of parents from two diffrent Universetimelines. How the Master is also an Hybridchild of multiverse ( 3 diffrent) as the Metacrysis Doctor was a mix of DNA from 3 diffrent Universis) So yes the name of the now former Doctor (Peter Capaldi never was the Doctor) as we saw Matt Smiths version become the first Caretaker/Curator /President over Earth. while training the person that was to become the new Doctor for this new UT. =Everything is on an eternal repeat for each new UT where the final out comeback is always the birth of the Doctor in the futurepast. So we know enough now to explains the origin of the Weeping Angels. ... You know how Gallifrey was teleported away from the Classic UT thru the void and into the New UT as per seen told in The 50th and end of series 9. What one has to be remembering here is what Rassilon did in The very last moment in The timewar in The classic UT just as Gallifrey was frozen and taken thru the void. He activated an ascention device. =Those present next to the ascention device died. (as per seen Rassilon had done in end of series 9. (Remember Gallifrey is still frozen in a moment in end of series 9) This means Rassilon died while in transit thru the void. and it stands to reason everyone present at/in The Gallifreyan High counsil was close enough to the ascention device to die and thus ascend while being in The Void. ....... =Yes we have the origin for the Guardians of Time right here (The new ones for the new UT) =Missy is most likly the new Black Guardian of Time. We most likly can deduce whom the White Guardian is thru this also. (Rose the Bad wolf girl Tyler)(White Guardian was seen in (End of time)(they are ascended beings inside the void between both the new & classic UTs. ... So what has this above got to do with the Weeping Angels? ... Everyone on Gallifrey is in thier moment of time being trapped in a state of both being alive and being ascended at the same time. =The Timelords (outside those that where present next to Rassilon that fully ascended) are the Weeping Angels. Just remember this following. When Gallifrey becomes unfrozen the entire planet will feel the effect of the ascention device. Thus "terraforming" it into becoming Trenszalore. Thus explaining how the Weeping angels got to Trenzalore before everyone else. ....Thus explaining mayby why the TARDIS died on just Trenzalore. This even explains how River Song is "saved" to a life with the former Doctor after The Library "incident". As she and The Library infact are then an fully working timemachine that the former Doctor then uses to save mankind to its harddrives (as per told in episode "Utopia" willhave happen/ed) as one of the Earth's in our solarsystem falls to the Daleks. Yeah there is two Earths. One has been cloaked this entire time to try to protect it from the Daleks. How and why there is an 2nd Earth in orbiting around the sun hasnt been explained, But that 2nd Earth is the Classic UT Earth. Sadly will this cloaked fall to the Daleks just as the 2nd Earth in classic UT fall to the Cybermen to become Mondas =this 2nd Earths destiny that has already happend will be to become New Skaro as per seen in series 9. = Mankind from this 2nd Earth will be saved and taken to Trenzalore by RIVERS to slowly matare into becoming the new rulers over time having our former Doctor becoming what Rassilon was during the classic UT. Its founder/President/Caretaker/Curator... =In The classic UT there was an "copy" of the former rulers over time (in The Lost/alternate/parallell/prevoius UT) trapped in an stoney half alive half ascended state... The Ragnarrokkians (?from? Ragnarrokkia? ) =Rassilon used to be the Doctor in The prevoius UT. =He used to have a timemachine that ended up dead on Gallifrey =We know the name of this dead timemachine as it was cut up into smaller sentient pieces that could be saved and later used. Like The Moment; The Validium amongst much else. All taken from the OMEGA arsenal... Yes Rassilons timemachine was OMEGA and some sliver of it ended up as Omega. and just as a sliver in The new UT of the dead TARDIS ended up becoming the Great intelligens just as a sliver (dustparticles) of the OMEGA thru the Validium passning Earths orbiting as a rocket each 25th year fell to Earth. (prequels to "Snowmen" gavel us shooting stars (dustparticles) that formed snow to fall from a cloudless sky. There is more But ill start with that.

And i hope missy finds away not to die and missy can be a new assistant while the master also finds a way not to die and wants to kill the doctor as usual . But missy and the new female doctor get realy realy close .

Interesting video. Could you tape a mirror to a Weeping angels eyes as that would mean they would be being seen by themselves so wouldn't be able to be move and then you could throw them into a safe place or dispose of them in some way?

Everytime I see a video about Weeping Angels, it reminds me of some theories I heard. No idea if it has been disproven or put to the test. But, the idea of Weeping Angels being in fact the "End of the Line" for a Time Lord would make quite an interesting episode. No idea if that got anywhere... Sadly, didn't have time to watch the insane amount of episodes.

I heard that according to some fans say that the Weeping Angels are actually exiled Time Lords whom were banished from Gallifrey and turned into stone and sent back in time to the beginning of the Universe by the Time Lords

What I never understood was why the Angels in Time of the Angels and the next (can't remember the name right now) killed the people outright, but every other one throughout the show simply displaces them.
