Some unmentioned mistakes: 1. Zambia is not supposed to be split in two. 2. Cameroon does not own the C.A.R. 3. Mozambique was a Portuguese colony, not a French one. 4. DR Congo is not supposed to be split in two. 5. Paraguay was supposed to take the southern region from Bolivia. 6. Brazil was supposed to take the northern part of Bolivia. 7. Chagatai was supposed to be split in two before the Timurids were created. 8. The Timurid Empire was not supposed to start until the collapse of Chagatai. 9. When the Timurids collapsed, the Mughal Empire was supposed to be created as a part of northern India, and did not annex all of it during creation. 10. Tibet was supposed to have declared independence when the Qing Dynasty collapsed, not when Japan declared war on R.O.C (Taiwan). 11. Cuba is not supposed to own Hispanola. 12. Niger, the country above Nigeria, is not supposed to own the north part of aforementioned Nigeria. 13. Brazil is not supposed to own land where French Guiana is supposed to be. 14. French Guiana is not supposed to be where Suriname is supposed to be. 15. Suriname is not supposed to be where Independent Guyana is supposed to be. 16. Senegal is not supposed to own the Gambia. 17. Zoom out a little, because New Zealand is obviously out of screen, and we all know that is just wrong. 18. The Mayans exist too, you know? 19. Bulgaria was not originally where it is now, and you didn’t map that old Bulgaria was in Ukraine and places near Karelia. Said rule applies to Hungary too, but the places are near the Urals. 20. Sudan did not declare independence from South Sudan, South Sudan declared independence from Sudan!
One big thing i noticed is that you gave texas to the US early. It belonged to soain until Mexican independence, then became independent in 1836. It didn't join the US until 1845. Good video though
This is a great video! You got everything right but here are some recommendations for borders: america is too much into canada. Ireland was still british in modern era sudans flag is south sudan cuba is in hispaniola (Dominican republic and haiti)
Theres a bit of an inaccuracy over in Scotland as they managed to secure their independence in the wars of independence up until their unification in 1707.
There are some mistake: you forgot France that colonized Madagascar and colonized Mozambique, second of all, Mozambique was colonized by Portugal, third, you forgot to put some kingdoms in Africa before the scramble of Africa, fourth, Tibet declared it's indepedence from Qing Dynasty.
And we can't forget the Paraguay war, the peru and Equador war, brazil getting land from Bolivia and colombia, the chaco war, french guyana not being part of brazil, Czechia and slovakia seperated from eachother after the cold war, cuba doesn't own haiti and the Dominican Republic, Jamaica is supposed to appear on the map, colombia doesn't own panama, Nicaragua doesn't own costa rica, Guatemala doesn't own belize, iran has the wrong flag, denmark doesn't own iceland, Latvia and lithuania are missing, taiwan is missing, Malawi, Burundi and Rwanda are missing, C.A.R. is not part of Cameroon, Guinea, Senegal, and gambia aren't United, Western Sahara is missing, there's a country that doesn't exist near saudi arabia and Oman, yemen isn't split into 2,Djibouti is missing, cyprus is missing, south of the D.R.C. isn't independent, uganda isn't part of south sudan, nigeria didnt get split into 2, and that's it
Hello creator, I wanted to let you know that you forgot about many South American events such as the triple alliance war, the Pacific war, the Peru-Ecuatorian war, the takeover of the Panama Canal by the USA, etc.
9:34 Indonesia Independence 1949? Indonesia became independent in 1945 when Sukarno would make the text of the proclamation on August 17, 1945 to be precise at 12.00 after On the run from Rengasdengklok. Edit: From Indonesia , Central Java
Argentina since its Independence has several errors: 1- Argentina became independent in the year 1812-1816 2- Argentina adopts the current flag in 1861 3- The conquest of the desert (Argentina and Chile dividing Patagonia) occurs between 1878 and 1885 4: You missed the Argentine civil war Edit: Argentina never had the territory of Paraguay, it only occupied it with Brazil in the Triple Alliance War (Paraguayan War)
@@Otis_ztr I don't know what Brazil has to do with here if I already specified at the beginning of the comment that I was only talking about Argentina's mistakes, not Brazil's.
Bro if I'm not mistaken when I look at the map, at that time when the Mongols invaded the world, Vietnam was an independent land and they won 3 times against the Mongols they were not invaded by the Mongol Empire
There is a lot of fails on Portugal on this the video which are Portugal was independent in 1143 and not 1393, also Portugal form colonies on Africa 1300 btw, Portugal found Brazil in 1500 and reach Índia on 1498.
Bulgaria got created in 681 (or 632 Bulgars got united) not in the 9th century but I appreciate your hard work like one month shesh that’s hard work! I’m just telling you 🙃
its a great video but there are some errors like bolivia´s area, it changed a lot ago but in the map it was always the same territory. Paraguay´s territory changed after the 3 alliance war. Ecuador also hasnt changed his territory in the video. Ireland and south sudan never existed in the video. Colombia doesnt own Panama anymore and there are less countries in center america than in real life. Guyana and Surinam are in the map but French Guayana isnt. Cuba doesn´t own Haiti and Dominican Republic. I dont know if this is an error but greenland and iceland are painted as the same colour like they both belong to the same country when that isnt happening right now because norway´s empire doesnt exists anymore XD but also can be a coincidence in colours so idk. Finland never got coasts in the north of the country, them are part of Norway. Checoslovaquia doesn´t exist anymore. In the map, Iran´s flag is the Persian empire one. Idk if this is another error but papua new guinea is painted in orange as Australia when it isn´t part of Australia anymore. Cameroon and central african republic appear as one country. Nepal and Bhutan don´t appear. All this errors are from countries which are little or for example in australia´s error, papua new guinea is hardly showed so i think thats why or maybe because of political opinions but others like bolivian, ecuador and peru errors are real errors hope this is helpful.
Ok, there are some errors in the South American part, apparently Brazil never went to war with Colombia, Bolivia and Peru over the Amazon parts, and Peru did not claim the Ecuadorian noodles, Panama as a whole has not been independent since 1836, the part from South America has not been updated , otherwise it is very good 👍
Nerdy I know, but you forgot a lot of the stuff in Africa, like three kingdom of the Congo, west African empires liked Mali, the Dutch cape and boer republics but still, amazing video
Why is there no war between Ayutthaya and Khmer ? * 1352 A.D. King U-thong he laid siege to Yasodharapura. He was successful the following year and placed one of his sons on the throne * 1433 A.D. King Samphraya led Siamese forces to subjugate Cambodia. And he ordered the Nakhonin to rule in Cambodia * 1545 A.D. King Naresuan the Great Cambodia becomes a vassal state of Siam. * 1603 A.D. King Chey Chettha II of Cambodia is overthrown by a Siamese prince. * 1767 A.D. The Siamese army invades Cambodia and installs a new king. * 1802 A.D. King Ang Eng of Cambodia is crowned with Siamese support.
Hello author, I am from China, and the maps you have drawn in every era of China have big problems, such as the Western Regions of the Han Dynasty, and the middle and late Qing Dynasty when the outer Northeast region was taken away by the Tsarist Russia😊
Everybody said the other mistakes so ima say these 5 1. France was not meant to own The Gambia during colonial times 2. France was not meant to own Guinea Bissau during Colonial Times. 3. Liberia was not meant to own Sierra Leone. 4. Germany did not own "Geeman Gold Coast" Today known as Togo. 5. The borders of USA ade messed up, USA owns alot of canadian territory and mexixo owns areas like San Diego, Los Angeles, Corpus Christi, and El Paso. Besides for this, the video was great! 😊
6. German empire owns netherlands, 7. dude forgot about changing south america’s borders after the 1880s so Bolivia still has northern Paraguay and Acre, Colombia still is twice its normal size, Venezuela has Roraima still, Ecuador still has Loreto, etc. 8. Czechoslovakia still exists on this map 9. During the USSR, Iran has Turkmenistan instead of the USSR 10. Sweden, Denmark, and Netherlands are missing their american colonies in the 1500s 11. French Guiana doesn’t exist it’s just a myth! 12. Sudan has South Sudan’s flag and south sudan isn’t independent 13. Tajikistan owns Krygyzstan 14. Cameroon owns CAR 15. Zambia is split in two 16. South Africa’s invading the DRC? 17. Just gonna list some more countries forgotten : Burundi, Uganda, Lesotho, Ireland, Iceland, Nepal, Bhutan, Jordan, Syria, Papua new guinea, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Swaziland/Eswatini, Rwanda, Equatorial Guinea, Uruguay
@@vaiins What slack? This is genuine criticism that if applied would improve the quality of this video. There are quite a few pre-existing world-history-using-maps type videos out there that are more detailed and historically accurate (or yk, could've done more research overall), the guy could've easily built off of these instead of ignoring, misrepresenting, and just getting things wrong on a lot of history. *(not implying that it should then be super easy to do just because others before have done it better, because this is definitely one of the more fun and unique spins of this genre that I have seen)
Look, you made a little mistake, but the video is great, like the territory of Mozambique, which was a Portuguese colony, it wasn't French, the territory of South America was also all wrong and you did too
You forgot all of ireland history, and they weren’t even independent! You forgot: Kingdom of ireland (lasted until 1804) The Irish revolution and the Irish civil war
