Learned to ride on a 93. Got it when I was 14 back in 1994. Back then (middle of the ATV malaise era) it was one of the fastest machines made. A lot of quad for a 14 year old. It was a good machine. The most glaring flaw was the chain adjustment system, I cocked the axle and subsequently ruined the bearings once. Later I had a 250X which was lighter and much more nimble than the Warrior. I now have a 2001 Wolverine and it very much reminds me of that Warrior I had 20-some odd years ago.
Just bought two 2001 warrior 350s. Also have an 87. These things are invincible tanks. And let me tell you....they can rip.. I plan to hold onto these for another strong 20-30 years.
Simply one of the all time greats , sure there was faster , but it did everything well mud , hill climbing and was fast enough for what I needed it for . Very good machines
first four wheeler I learned to ride. I started at age 7, rode it til I was 19 then I got a Honda trx 300. still have the warrior to this day its garage kept at my grandmothers house. it fires right up every time.
I learned on this quad at age 8 or so 360cc. I still ride it today and it is by far my favorite quad. That being there is no contest because we have a farming Suzuki and a farming Kawasaki other than it lol.
I have a stock black & red 2003 Warrior, probably the baddest fourwheeler in town, does great on gas, gotta love when you get in that 6th gear though ;))
funny how this video is still relevant becouse i have a 2001 warrior for a year now and man do i love it. First quad i own and wouldn't want to sell it for anything else.
I miss my 99. Got it when I was 16, had it for maybe a year, my mom's boyfriend at the time was a trucker a d he picked it up for a dealer in Florida, it had twist throttle and you could only start it with a screw driver by the relay... Sadly I was my sister wrap it around a tree. 25 years old now and I'm working to getting another one. Best fourwheeler ever
I have a 97 warrior with a DG exhaust on it and for having a much smaller motor than my friends it runs with them just fine and lots of the time will beat them in races I would definitely recommend this quad :)
My uncle and dad bought a 97 or 98 360cc brand new black and yellow and I started on that when I was 8 (14 now) and it is by far the best quad I've ever ridden to date.
I wish they brought this quad back but I feel like it wouldn't be as good as they used to be. I have an 03 Warrior special edition with the red and black plastics and I love this thing to the moon and back will never sell this thing.
i just got mine....2001 dg front bumper..nerf bars..white brothers exhaust...bored over..to idk i think 388....dg skid plate..and best of all douglas wheels.....500$of good ole Craigslist. ...dude threw in 3 clutches..two extra cranks...two piston sets and a cylinder. ....deal of a lifetime
Thank you for this again. Looking at this vid it could be a 92. I'll just have to wait till Sunday to find out. I got to ride an 88 warrior and an 05 raptor 350. I love these machines I can't wait to get mine.
HITCH, sadly I had to sell my warrior a few years ago. Currently I don’t have a quad. But I wish I had one now to rip up the hills in these times of self isolation.
Yamaha should definitely bring back the warrior of old.they be a great bike for teens going into the 700 raptor or the 45o's.plus they just BAAAD bikes.id buy a new one, ride for days on a tank of gas.
HITCH Yea I’m working on it in the shop. Bought it last year was not running order the battery , shifter , key switch and air filter not sure if it would run but hopefully It wii . Hopefully I don’t have to take the engine apart .
Thats true I race a warrior still and the front end always wants to come down in the air always have to gas it before I go off the jump and sometimes panic rev to bring the front end up.
I have an unconfirmed (atm) year model 360cc Warrior. I know it's somewhere between 97 and 99. My grandpa thinks it's a 98 so I'm going to stick to that year model until I get my hands on a manual.
die hard honda rider, but i always liked warriors. really wanted one before the 400 came out. got my ass kicked by pretty much every one i came across with my little 300ex... then, my best friend had a warrior after i got my 400. so, he was always trying to beat me, but couldn't and neither could any other 400ex for some reason... not with stock bore anyway. til he got a yfz when they came out, and again i was back to just keeping up. i didn't like them. factory they didn't have any power til well up in the mid range, then came on all at once, and not a whole lot better with the timing fixed. just wasn't comfortable either. warriors on the other hand, felt fine, like what i was used to. be nice if honda had put 6 gears in a few now and then... and they just look badass. first year looks a little goofy, i always wondered why the plastic had that cutout. now i know, that's where the headlights were... looks better after they moved em up. if i saw one of the older ones, probably thought they'd moved em there. warriors are one of the few that could really do just about anything well.
Suppose to pick up an 01 today kinda scared guy says it just stopped working and I'm reading that over and over every one I find it seems to be the norm
Had a 91 White and Blue, ITP polished rims, Turf Tamers, DG pipe, +4 Swing Arm, Six Pack Rack, Rebel Flag SEET brand Seat Cover.....Had faster quads after that but something about it always put it above every other quad I owned.
For as long as it was around they could've made it look less like dork mobile. Give it better looking headlights n that would have made a huge difference
I got a Yamaha 350 warrior when I was 10 for $300 it was not running me and my dad put a stator in it and then we started it up I’m 11 now and still have it and I actually have 2 check out my channle to see the one warrior I got.
Dig my 99, had it for many years now... Just out on it last month with my son ripping it around still !! 😁😁🤗🤗 But can it keep with my other sons 09 450r ?? Check it out in my vids over my channel... 🤣🤣😶🙄😏
