Gorkhas were rajputs who left indian in 14th century. Nepal gorkha Kingdom was created by rajput king Dravya Shah. There were other Kingdom along with Gorkhas during shah's gorkha Kingdom. Visit nepal's Jhapa Ilyam. You will see they don't look like mongols

Khal or kha means place where a lot of water gets collected automatically. Eg :- my Village name is JAIKHAL(Deghat,Almora ). Here JAI is name of a tree and KHAL means collected water(paani kha) in Kumaoni .
