Description: SORRY FOR THE INCORRECT VIDEOS! HERE'S THE OFFICIAL HISTORY! Me: You litterally used their RTM releases, fake sounds on some OSes, some images, logos and icons are fake, some words are misspelled and Windows 3.1 isn't the first OS to introduce sounds.
You said this is a "correct" version but there's still a few slips. Here's what I could find. If you know any more, please leave it down in the replies section. Windows 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 didn't have sounds because .wav files were introduced in 1991 Windows NT (4.0) is skipped Windows NT 5.0 is skipped Windows 2000 is skipped at 12:34 the Windows 8 picture is a picture of Windows 7 Windows 8 ended support in 2016, not 2023 Windows 8.1 is skipped You misspelt future as furute.
Also windows 8, 8.1 and 10 have the windows vista/7 startup sound, but disabled by default, while all the windows oses after windows 7 (not including windows 7) have no shutdown sound
Technically XP didn't start being produced in Neptune. Neptune was a proposed successor to 2000, and Odyssey was a proposed successor to Me, just based on NT. Development on XP properly started when Whistler became a thing.
My favorites are: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows 11 I swear I skipped Windows 8 and 8.1 because its trash according to my parents before I got Windows 10
Pretty sad to see Windows 10 go in 2025, My grandma got an Inspiron 3252 from Dell and the OS I really loved before she passed, Now I got two years of waiting to see what happens after the EOS.
Ok, here are some mistakes I caught in the video: 0:43 While the general idea is correct, the image is actually a mockup of an early photo of windows layered on an old PC, Also the "logo" is just the first "o" in the old Microsoft logo. 0:50 Ok that wasn't necessary 0:55 We don't even have the floppy disks for the build, all we have are the mockup photos so we don't know if that was the startup sound 1:29 Windows 1.x had no sound files, also I don't know why that blinking underscore is necessary but ok 2:09 How hard is it to layer the photo above the text? Or at lest just delete it? 2:10 Again, no sound files 2:32 ditto 3:13 ditto 3:29 ditto 3:56 ditto 4:09 ditto 4:49 ditto 12:38 that is an unused log on sound, the actual startup sound is the same as windows 7 and vista 13:28 windows 8 doesn't have a shutdown sound 13:45 same as windows 8 14:38 ditto 15:43 ditto Conclusion: hell lot of dittos
@@joelsoncorrea639 Windows 12 needs to be for 11 what 10 was for 8.1, and what 7 was for Vista. A comprehensive compromise between Microsoft’s goals and vision for the user interface and the actual everyday user experience.
Does 11 bring back Movie Maker and Paint? I saw on the Microsoft site that it will, but that may have been a rumor. I need to know for my desicion to upgrade from XP (FINALLY) to 11.
Windows 10 and 8 use the Windows 7 and Vista startup sounds, when the startup sound is enabled. The Windows 8 sound you claim is real, is indeed in the files of the operating system, but are never used. When you enable the startup sound in Windows 8, it's the Windows 7 sound.
An error I found: Windows 1.0 - 3.0 does not contain any audio files, so the sounds are fake. I’m pretty sure ‘Windows 3.0 with Multimedia Extensions’ is the first to contain audio.
Things incorrect: Windows Interface Manager, 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, 8, and 10 startup. Windows Interface Manager, 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, 8, 10, and 11 shutdown. You misspelled "future" and "bring". You missed Windows NT 4.0, 2000, and 8.1.
the windows 1.x- 3.0x used no sounds by default, however there was a start-up sound for windows 3.0x with MME (Multi-Media Extension) that enabled sounds, but the sound used was an edited windows 95 sound, and that didn't come out until 1995
