One of my relatives was suffering from dipression since 20 years, she consulted many psychiatrists , (including NIMHANS Bangalore) , most of them prescribed tricyclic antidepressants ,etc but all in vain, at last one doctor at NIMHANS Bangalore, did blood test and diagnosed that she was suffering from B12 defeciency and treated with parentral B12, now she is very busy in social media.

It can be considered as course (but usually it is articulated as chronic - continuous/progressive) and also outcome. However, during history taking one is interested to know is it chronic or episodic illness?
