The Barberettes do a fantastic imitation of Nashville Grand Ole Opry Country Singers. I love they way they dance, smile, toss their heads back, sigh at the end of solos, . . . An Shin-Ae's 'yell' near the end of the song, followed by twirls and jumping up and down remind me of someone, but I don't know who. Amazing performance!
Almost reminds me of Wynonna Judd ❤️ and it's definitely reminiscent of old country. I hear a lot of Emmylou, Linda, and Dolly as well. Older country was actually very popular in Korea back in the day. The wave of the Appalachian music came along with the US soldiers that got stationed there and permeated throughout the korean society. So it's always cool to see the influence continue on. Plus it's a breath of fresh air in the over produced kpop industry. I'm so glad other styles of music and particularly the korean underground music scene is starting to rise up and take power away from the monopoly of kpop and more towards true artistry ❤️
The young lady plying the "fiddle "is also very talented. i bet she wasn't trained to play that was probably classic Violin. she does a great job looks like she is enjoying herself
My face hurts from smiling. I just discovered this wonderful group by reading a news article today . It stated that they're going international on a "Kpop Music Festival Tour". I'd never heard of them before so I thought I'd do a little investigating. Now I am so glad I did! I can clearly see and hear why they were invited.! Barberettes...I am a complete fan.
