When in July did you set off? I am planning on my thru and getting a feel for the rainy season.

Nice, that's awesome! We started on June 25, and ended July 31. It rained most afternoons for an hour or so. There were thunderstorms about two times a week and you'll have to plan your day around them

im going to try few segments, would you say a poncho would be better than a rain jacket? how cold does it get up there?

That's a question I struggled with as well. With the wind and rain on top of mountain passes you might prefer a rain jacket.

I really wanna move to CO. Idk if I can afford rent there so I may have to live out of my car. Is that crazy to do, just to live in CO? I love backpacking and currently live in AZ where it is not as fun

Colorado is amazing! There's so many hikes to choose from it can be overwhelming lol. There's a lot of BLM land where you'd be able to park and stay without a hassle. Rent in Denver is high but other cities are more affordable I've heard good things about Flagstaff AZ, I've always wanted to hike there
