Thank you so much Eddie, you have been my inspiration and 1 month ago I was 240 pounds and im 14 years old, now I weigh 202 pounds with 22 percent body fat and i wouldn't have been able to do it without you for my inspiration
@Primal I’ve had enough of you kids disrespecting others and giving false information. In my time there wasn’t intranet and you couldn’t say stupid stuff like that! I bet you can’t even start a mowlawner!!!
Been really enjoying the videos man. This has made me want to get back in the gym and push. Appreciate the consistent uploads and looking forward to the next vid!!!
They don't really scrum properly in league. If Eddie tried rugby union he'd be able to compete properly in a scrum. I'm sure after a good amount training he'd be very good given his strength. He'd never be able to play at that weight however. He'd run for 2 minutes and be toast.
In the last video Martins Licis went heavier (he had Eddie's extra 20kg body weight) and made the reps look easier. Considering Eddie is retired though he is a confirmed beast
I remember when leg press was so criticized, it was just an avoided topic. You would be made fun of for loading up a leg press. Eddie has definitely brought it's popularity back with all his videos and talk on it's usefulness in his training.
196kg in his prime! insane. Good on ya Eddie. Always a good sport, and a good laugh. Reminds me of the scariest player ever played with, 160kg prop who had a sidestep and pace! Like following an ambulance down a MW. He was an NFL defensive lineman on holiday to see family. Refused to really tackle anyone due to some fine print. Didn't have to, no one would run near him....
Can someone in the comment section answer this question for me. I wanted to know if you dont eat anything for a day, do you chalk that up as calories taken away from your weekly caloric intake? Are you in a deficit on the day or are your calories just zero? Would appreciate a response from anyone, thanks.
I was a Rugby Captain for Highschool and played forward for about 4 years. and one year in back as a hooker. ;) Was never a runner though, throughout 5-6 years of playing I only ever got 2 trys. but i was known as the killer. I would travel all around my province in Canada & have people know my name before I even met them. I miss those days, the respect and and sportsman ship in this sport is unrivaled. Eddie could be a absolute monster of a prop with some practice theres no doubt in my mind about that. staring down with him on the field would be like staring down death.
I hear that eddie is in america. Training with the current bench press world record holder. Shouldn't be long now until the record isEddie's. Cant wait for the video. !!.
I dream of being able to leg press that much. At the age of maybe 16 or 17 I was leg pressing over 700lbs. I am 19 now and I am leg pressing well over half a ton (1,252). I sincerely look up to Eddie because he's one of those guys who cheers you on and wishes the best for you.
I workout my calf with a leg press. This is not only an issue to lift heavy with legs, amplitude is important except if you want a short and high muscle.
Hay Eddy! I would really like you to see doing calisthenics. Like pull ups, muscle ups, push ups, things like this. Always when i make the sight i feel like you wouldn't even been able to squat your own bodyweight, just becuause you look huge. It never turns out different, than you appear to be enourmously strong and I can't believe my eyes. I'm interested if you could do muscle ups, at least with assistanse, just an idea. I'm a fan and want you to beat another WR soon!
Someone will remember CANNON, (William Conrad actor!) TV series of the 70s, He was a private detective who drove a monumental Lincoln Mark IV ... Eddy Hall would be perfect 👌🏻 in my humble opinion, to interpret a sort of remake but yes would rely heavily on the incredible physical abilities of this monstrous athlete. Go Eddy go!👍🏻👊🏻
I was wondering about the grip Eddie uses when squatting. Should I copy his squatting style, or just keep gripping the bar like I normally do. What's the advantages of Eddie's way of doing it?
Seeing Eddie's calves makes me realize how blessed I am. Genetics were good to me in the calve department. To see his rediculous calves and not feel completely inadequate is phenomenal. Don't get me wrong, I'm not even close, but I'm closer than 99% of people who try their asses off to get big calves and I barely train them
I still hold the record for my high school leg press . I graduated in 2004. 330 pounds 30x. I watch Eddie doing leg presses and I feel like the weakest person in the world when it comes to legs LOL
That was really nice rugby bro!!! Eddie is the Beast!!! And Best!!! I would love to see Hafthor, Shaw, Licis and you and some other big guys to play rugby!!!!!!!!! :)
I put my hands way out on the bar when I squat, too. If I have them close in, my shoulders cramp up. I don't know how anyone does it any other way. Lol!
i like to think eddie is still his 5 year old self when he was watching tv saying hes going to be the worlds strongest man because not only is he not a fuckin douche bag but hes hilariously a good friend and seems like he has a heart of gold like a wholesome kid
I must say that was very impressive how Eddie was able to push around these two gentlemen when they were clenched together like that!! Those two are not small weak people.. actually they are probably stronger and tougher than most.. each one of them is probably 6ft plus, and in excellent physical condition.. I think trying to grab hold of Eddie and throw him around would be like grabbing a fire hydrant and trying to pull it out of the ground, or maybe trying to push over a television pole with one hand hahaha.. it’s good to see he has a great sense of humor.. he’d be one scary dude if he was one of those people who was always angry and didn’t like anyone... I wouldn’t want to be his direct target if he was pissed off and wanted to have at it... he’d probably break whatever he connected with... at least it would be a very short fight for the other guy anyway haha.. Wishing you all the best from across the pond here in the States 👍😬
