Always wanted to learn this if I ever started to learn the bass, at 38 years old and now learning the bass, I now know there's no fucking chance 🤣🤣🤣🤣 that was quality m8 loved it
@@robjacquesbass0307 I've been at it now for 3 weeks and am loving it, learning the scales etc with a few easy tunes to go along to keep me interested. Literally just got my 1st amp, leads and a wha wha pedal haha. How long have you been at it Jacques ?
Ah wicked there's nothing better than playing a instrument ! A life time of never getting bored with learning music. Been playing for probally 16 years and the practicing never ends haha
@@robjacquesbass0307 I've played drums all my life and had enough, always wanted to play bass since a kid but the competitions took over my life. But I did become world champion once lol
@@robjacquesbass0307 This is me mate about 4 years ago, practicing for a solo competition ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_xh7Qn2zXRQ.html
Wow. ! Very very cool. I 1st heard Ian Dury in 1976 at 17yrs old with "Sex and drugs and rock and roll ". Thanks for showing how the base was the lead and rythm. I'm sure Jaco Pastorius and Les Claypool is on your list of wide spectrum of 4 stringers But to share my latest favorite band is Pepper (Not the red hot chili type). Also really cool and approachable guys from Hawaii.
Yes unbelievable band and musicians. Norman is up there with greats bass players for innovation , probally my favourite of all time. Glad the music made its way over to Hawaii ! All the best
Fender Precision bass? Good song to practise. I just bought my first bass Ibanez BSR180 basically jazz bass. I am guitarist but for my home studio. I hate keyboard bass sounds. Good playing...
@@robjacquesbass0307 Yes every instrument has its own world. Bass is pulse of orchestra. If pulse is off time whole song collaps. I like that Ibanez it is 2005 and not slim neck 21mm-22mm. Newer ones too slim about 19mm first fret.
I prefer playing flatwounds most of the time because I like the sound , especially on a p bass. They have more tension which I like but some people find them harder to play.
Yeah love Ian Dury and the Blockheads, my favourite band of all time !! Norman's a beast. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jmHd2rEmkek.html
