The whole solo part is also a tribute to someone named Divide, Divide was the person who worked on Sonic.Exe V2, sadly he passed away before V2 was ever released, before his passing he created a "fakersona" or sorts, called "Lookalike", which ended up becoming a scrapped mod. Later he was recycled into this game as "Yourself", returning in Silly Billy to tell his creator he did what he was created for, explaining the "Proud you are of me" line. D1 Yapathon, I know, but that's basically the whole story.

Alright boys I got the most accurate lore so in this is an au of boyfriend which his girlfriend dies in an accident their names are yourself and herself the reason why yourself is so tall is because boyfriend is actually tall but the game just shows him as short all this version is a sad version of boyfriend that let himself go and is haunted by a memory of girlfriend and he turns small due to the mirror glitching his appearance and no he is not an exe now I sleep until kyubi is confused
He’s also drawn smaller in the game to reference his relative innocence so him being drawn tall is more of a reference to him loosing that, and personally I think he went small because he found his passion for music again
