What I love about his videos is that he has repaired/restored so many nice brand tools and yet he stays attached to the same ghetto brand impact driver when doing work. :)
Another fantastic restoration. This one's made in China. Any idea of the date of manufacture? The components still look good, before they started "value engineering" the tools.
Can you give links for batteries and BMS. I buy BMS on ebay but quality is poor. Excellent restoration. I hope you use high AMP wire to the third battery.
I was lucky to have thought about researching choices just before I shell out thousands of dollars for batteries. Fortunately I discovered this battery reconditioning program t.co/YpdloYO92F Thanks to it, Now I have got old but functioning batteries with no expense of getting new ones!
...most fascinating to me is the battery rebuild...that could become a side business in itself...there a literally thousands of cordless tools piled in our garages begging to be restored, mostly due to battery issues...
It is a business. There's lots of people doing this at greater or lower cost, with good or bad results. Ultimately, unless it's a company, you'll never get a guarantee the job's done right, and even then it's a dangerous affair. Battery packs are not something you mess with and get away with if you don't do it correctly. So that's why it's not a hit and miss, on both sides of the spectrum, customer, and service provider.
@@aserta your so right, there are many aspects you must consider before attempting a battery restore/repair of this nature. For me, I just purchase a new battery and be done with it 👍
@@ltdees2362 even if we dont its still cool that people like this guy that restore these tools back to their original condition fully restored and back to work its fun to build and fix
Great videos, I like to put the new charger in the old charging station. Remove the charging station internals, replace with new charger and charge the lith batteries in the station as before.
Amazing work man. Hope to try this out one day on tools. Currently helping clients by servicing their fishing reels follow most of your steps. Have you ever though of getting a ultrasonic cleaner for the part that require proper washes? I've heard that it does amazing work on cleaning. Thanks for video keep it up Cheers
I thought , hey let's checks on local graig list, i'll fix one for myself. me ten minute later: wtf, a used drill is more expensive than a brand new one ?!
He has to get them out of the rain ditch. Probably where he puts them after he buys them at a junk yard. Nothing could corrode these as bad as this unless he stored them in the rice paddy
Great work! love your videos, would like to see something complicated in future like reciprocating saw, or electric winch, or something similiar with lots of components.
@@miguelare3 Yes I know :) I saw every video from him, but you know something thats more challenging and prehaps more fun for him, if he has one ofcourse
