@@jcap8391 It's HitFilm Express, the original free version of HitFilm that is now discontinued. Its biggest advantage over the new HitFilm Free is that it still supports 4K export.
Yep. Totally agree. People who still have the old hitfilm free with all bought plug-ins, should stay with it. For me, I bought the latest Por version (one time fee with free upgrades for one year). It misses those free music and sounds but for everything else I have all the plug-ins forever. Actually I will upgrade for a new one time fee pro version when they bring more stuff that justify, like sound editing (love Audition, but have to work with Audacity for the lack of tools of Hitfilm). Great job. Keep on bringing some more videos.
@Damalio Resolve's interface (not NLE) is just not good for me as I'm not used to. Also, Da Vinci needs a very good machine to run smoothly. But, definitely, if you know your way around on Resolve and you have a nice machine hardware it is definitely the best option (one time fee and all future upgrades guaranteed. Also a super powerfull video editor). But for me, that I'm more used to NLE like Premiere, Hitfilm is super easy to work with. Also very powerful with lot of features and none friendly with low end machines.
Quick question since you have a bought a perpetual license which is on the legacy fxhome website does it still provide the Hitfilm with the old branding?
@Shrivelling I can use Hitfilm Pro with the "old" layout or with the new UI, with all the Pro features, effects, Boris, Tracking, 3D etc. The only thing missing are the Libraries from Artlist, that are the new thing related with subscription plans. But, besides that I can use Hitfilm Pro with all updates related to that Year plan where I get all updates for free. After that I'm stuck with that version of the software and can buy another Perpetual Plan with free updates for another year when it is worth the investment. Either way, Da Vinci is better in these terms because you only buy once and get all updates forever. Gotta check the free version to see if it works decently on my machine. But, for NLE without subscription I could say that Hitfilm Pro is a good software. I can all the stuff I need in that software, even 3D, motion, etc. But if you are serious into filmmaking,.perhaps Dá Vinci.
