Great find my friend. Live ammo is an unusual find. Glad you are adding to the cartridge collection. Getting the hang of an ROV takes a bit along with the depth perception through a camera. Great job in piloting. Stay safe and dry.

Firstly WW2HH very nice introduction to this episode. Secondly what great findings from this great spot, a great genuine 20mm casing that has been recovered after so many years in the sea. Then you found a very rare live MG131 round. These finds are more impressive because you retrieved them from the ocean. The rubber glue seems to have worked great in the sea.

Could you affix a small mesh scoop made from a modified French fry basket to the underside of the graspers. The front edge of the scoop could be attached perhaps 5cm back from the tip of the grasper, allowed the grasper to still function as intended. The small mesh scoop could allow you to bring up small objects like coins, buttons, medals, etc. Another suggestion would be to hang a French fry basket from some floats near where the ROV is operating, so you wouldnt have to bring your find all the way back to your boat or shore to retrieve it. The basket would have to be larger enough to allow the grasper to get over it in order to place the item into it, or big enough to allow the whole ROV to enter. Good hunting, friend.

What a great find, I had never heard of the MG 131 and its unusual round. You always do a great job producing pictures from the day to make the video even more interesting! There were so many varied and different types of machine guns used in the German armed forces of WWII. As the war moved into later years I would have guessed they would have standardized calibers to save on having to manufacture so many different types of rounds, but I have no evidence to say they did. Thanks again for the taking us to this site with the Fifish! Stay safe and stay well!

Finally getting to catch up on your RU-vid videos. Life has a habit of getting in the way of things that you enjoy to do. Have to say I missed EE and his usual comments. You certainly did your very best with the poor visability and that bothersome pipeline. I remember all the interesting WW2 artifacts that you found from previous explores there. Quite the finds. Holy Scheise 3 attempts was the charm. Excellent retrieval of the 1941 live brass MG131 for the Luftwaffe aircraft. 17,000 rounds hard to believe. Very hi-tech indeed. Good work HH.

What another great history lesson, I never knew about the MG 131. I watch a lot of documentary about WWII and you are the only person who mentioned that gun on an airplane. Nice finds! Finding that 20mm was pretty cool, but then finding that live MG round, fantastic find! What a rare thing to find after all this time. Super cool find. Spent rounds, dropped in the water during firing, probably at some allied plane, but live rounds? Makes you wonder whose bumbling hands dropped it. A curse or two, and on with the job. Who hasn't been there? Great work as usual HH. Keep it coming! Cheers! Stay Safe!

While I think the trash piles are the best places to search, the underwater adventures run a close second. My eyes are scanning all over the place looking for items. I can imagine the subs coming back into port for R&R and maintenance and spent shells being cleared off the decks from the deck guns they had. Repairs being done and damaged parts being thrown overboard. For as many videos I have seen with the FiFish, it has worked flawlessly.

Love the military tunes at the intro. The ROV QYSea Fish is a real cool setup with the power supply. The 20mm cartridge for the patrol boat was a good find even though not in the best of shape. To be expected considering how long it's been there. Amazing find HH with the live MG 131 Luftwaffe airplane cartridge. Looked in pretty good shape after you cleaned it up. Hopefully you have de-armed it and rendered it 😉 inert. Thanks for taking us back there HH. Stay safe.

Thanks for the info on the mg 131 round. They don’t often turn up compared to other more common rounds. I’ve been lucky enough to find several at a crashed JU 188 site in northern France. The markings on yours are clearer, so I appreciate you doing the homework that I didn’t get round to myself. Good work. Regards from UK. Francis

Very awesome finds. 2 suggestion. 1) Watch a few videos from 1 or a few of these RU-vidrs Adventures with Nug, Chaos Divers, Depths of History, Adam Brown Adventures, Adventures with Purpose. Note the equipment they used to scan rivers, lake's and ponds. 2) When you have an idea of where the items are you are looking for and the actual rough depths attach a small ballon to a fishing line to the top of the Fifish so you have an idea of where its at.
