I remember hearing about this run and not even thinking it was real. That Devil (and the whole run really) was so ahead of its time It took so many new strats to beat it
I don't think anybody truly understands just how good CJ is at these games,he helped me beat hitman 2 SA since I'm bad. Hope you're doing well I'm always glad to see a new video especially old streams since I always miss out on Watching it live.
The best times are faster but not by much. I believe the timing method for the new stuff is even different than this which was RTA. I don't know what they do now.

this is nostalgia (along with other old H2SA/H3C speedruns) i remember back in 2017-2018, where you livestreamed Contracts and in the mission Seafood Massacre, you knocked out one of the chefs and the dude kept walking outside and knocked tf out in the alley one of the funniest things i've seen
when did you get into hitman? for me it was blood money on the ps2 around 2010-11 in my friends living room. also the day i discovered babestation. cheers to you and your runs, really cemented hitman as a classic game in my life when i discovered the channel and bought all the new hm games around 2020.
i first played and fell in love with blood money in 2008 on ps2. I started to make videos that were terrible. Then I watched Kotti play. Then it all made sense. I've been hooked on the whole series ever since. Thanks for the kind words. Seems we have something in common. :)

It was deleted because I genuinely wanted to get away from speedrunning and was sick of nobody else in the community actively helping me find better routes. I spent 3 years doing it all myself. So, sort of. It was more about other runners not helping than it was about copying strategies. If you've seen the recent runs, they are significantly faster and a couple of guys really stepped up, but it took a few years for that to happen. I just wanted it off youtube so that there would be a fresh slate for other runners to start thinking for themselves. So that's why it came down.
@ICACJ I appreciate the hard work you put and honestly i saw many posts talking bad things about you and thought maybe he was tired of speedrunning cuz speedrunning is mentally draining. I've got some experience in speedrunning in cod zombies but hitman was really hard for me since timings are really hard and beating one level feels more like solving a rubics cube. Also, recent runs are faster than yours but it took so much time to get ahead of you. Thanks for the response.
The fact that people beat it with very different routes proves that my strategies were not META so it doesn't really matter what I did as far as speed goes. I just wanted for people to find the better ones. And they did. I was right. There were better ones. People perceived it as gatekeeping, when it really wasn't. It was me wanting other people to take the game to the next level. And they did (it took 6 years but they did). My channel's purpose is to help people get better at Hitman games and there is proof of that in hundreds of videos. So Reddit or Discord or wherever you read that stuff really didn't understand my POV or what my channel is really about. Fun fact. My channel started as a high round COD Zombies channel in 2012. I had high round records on Kino Der Toten ,Five. and Der Riese.
@@ICACJ Yeah, Hitman may be a game with a huge window of opportunities. As for the community, I heard many things and I said, maybe this guy is either trying to leave the speedrunning community or someone whose story is not told perfectly. I still think speedrunning may get toxic sometimes but yeah, at least you somehow redeemed from that situation. Crazy sht that it took 6 years to beat one record. Also, I remember many years ago your most famous videos beating Hitman 2016 and I remember something funny about you beating the game, noticing how you knew so much about Hitman and how informative your videos were. 2016-2017 were years where many people got introduced to the game and seeing how good those videos were and still are, impresses me. Lastly, didnt know you got world records in Kino, Five and Der riese. Time really flies and tbf, zombies rn is somehow something that needs so much time that not every speedrunner can do. Rn the situation feels more like that since the game crashes so thats why zombies feel like it. Apart from that, there a few things that need to be solved but require so much time and test that theorical thinking might not work. Of course, traps are something consistent but right now the game feels like it is entirely based on rng and time. I understand the idea of the box, but if the box decides whether your game will be a contendent world record or not, it's a huge red flag for new players. You also add that the bonus rounds such as dogs or monkeys are rng based plus the drops makes it worse. The community decided to implement an anticheat but did not work since everyone refused to play with something scanning your computer and well, the other choice was watching world records of 80 hours long at 1x speed and analyse all kind of behaviour with the box, drops, rounds and statistics, yeah, math equations. So, the method to make sure everything is fine is by checking the probability of the box if it's possible to have so much luck or not. As stated earlier with the current situation of RNG, you cannot check one run is possible with only gameplay and sound, you have to be extremely lucky. Currents Ascension world record held by FurretCanWalk is said to have the lucky of 1 in 150k matches. i don't trust much this statement by Cruppz, but it does feel like playing over and over until getting a good match is impossible since the luck is not helping you. Either way, it's been a pleasure to talk to you and hopefully you keep the grind with FreeLancer, I enjoy watching crazy things in your streams. The source of the statistics is in Cruppz's channel in his first video. I don't want to place a link so YT will not remove my response.
