This escalation is a surprisingly challenging one, since being a clown makes you mighty conspicuous, as does slugging someone in the back of the head with a baseball bat.
As the mission escalates, you have to shoot balloons dotted around the level as well, which it turns out is frowned upon at fancy parties like this.
