That damage doesn't look too bad. My first deer wrinkled the hood and took out both headlights. My second deer damaged a hood fender and headlight. The 3rd deer was just a headlight. I was hit by a deer on Thanksgiving even when it ran into my car just above the rear tire and it didn't do any damage.
It doesn’t take much to total a modern car. Happened to me 3 years ago bumper hood and headlight $8,000. Unfortunately happened again 2 hours ago. Same road. Where I live deer are growing in huge numbers because less people hunt them.
Deer came out of nowhere, I wasn't speeding, destroyed my car, and the deer was rough.. pushed my front impact bar up over my engine destroying the ECU, and ripping off the intake.
I just absolutely got smashed by a deer going 70 on an interstate…. My car immediately turned off and I had to wake up my bf to come pick me up 😅 we’re waiting to see if I can fix my car or if it’s totaled …
@@courtneykerekes4857 I actually just today got my car back! after not being able to get a rental (I’m 23) and my mom having to get one and drive me her car (bless her) gosh what a hassle tho. Hope you’re doing ok☺️
deer are unpredictable, I drive past a thick patch of woods, never saw it coming, doing the speed limit, and wham its head was in my passenger window as I was doing 65.
Definitely one of the downsides to living in PA. That stat with deer collisions doesn't surprise me at all. I see a new corpse added to the side of the road almost daily. These animals definitely aren't evolving it seems...
