Tallarook is where I did my RAAF 4wd training course in a Hilux in 1997. Learning how to reverse stall start on those loose ascents was quite a challenge. I clearly need to go back.

I see the trailer frame has been reinforced but looks a bit top heavy. Good to see the issues being addressed.

Yes it definitely needed some work and has been extensively braced at the top of the uprights as well as with the lateral braces that also carry extra gear (our idea)! The RTT is only 90kg, so not too heavy, it's a great combo.

This vehicle has been seen on a few episodes. You can follow it through the series. But yes, it is more about the destination and the adventure than the vehicles as such.

Where’s Danny? And the 80? What gear box does he run now?

Danny was unfortunately not well and couldn't make this trip but you will still hear his voice every episode as he introduces each destination. he had to swap out the auto and get a reliable manual gearbox. It's a 5 Speed TowPack from 360 and he loves it!
