Hitting with a BROKEN Voodoo One (knob came off) - does it still work? 

forgot to mention: the 2022 Voodoo One (red) and the 2023 Voodoo One (gold) have the exact same barrel - so there won't be any performance increase/dropoff between those 2 versions.

Because I'm a fan of no- knob taper handles like the bonesaber and mini bell knobs on wood bats, in my opinion, it's an improvement if you can tape up the handle. What i would do is tape up the knob, adding resin between the tape layers in order to harden up the tape and bring back some of that weight lost from the knob breaking off

i used the 2019 voodoo one with a broken off-knob in highschool, so i used a rubber place-on knob to replace it for almost 2 years pushing it back on after each time it would slide down

great content again guys. A couple of observations, when you were swinging the knobless voodoo, you were pushing the ball almost every swing. Probably because you weren't able to leverage the bottom hand pressure to whip the head around. I would say, if you had a knobless voodoo it would be great as a training bat to assist you to stop pulling the ball and concentrating on timing and power to go oppo (which is way more beneficial in game situations.) You could also fix the broken knob by maybe using a mtb star nut that goes inside the forks.....

Perfect timing for me to see this video. My son has a brand new 2022 Voodoo (ordered and received in Sep) for his freshman college baseball season. The knob broke last week and of course, you literally cannot find a replacement 2022 or 2023 Voodoo One anywhere (33/30) without it being used or for 400.00 or higher. We will be waiting for DeMarini to ship one back well after the season starts. He is a smaller player and this bat is perfect for his hitting type. Why can’t DeMarini fix this issue??!!

Thoughts about doing another video, but lizard skin and another brand make a rubber taper you can put underneath the bat tape. That would make it easy to make it seem like the bonesaber grip. i would be curious to see the results of that.

PUT THE KNOB BACK ON WITH BAT TAPE AND THEN WRAP THE HECK OUT OF IT WITH MORE BAT TAPE AND YOU'LL HAVE THE KNOB SECURITY, LOL... GREAT VID...

Curious what the bat weighs now and whether it’d still be legal.

Good Vid Big Will! Great bat with garbage knob and cap. Senior year a new V1 lasted just a few games. New Replacement, lasted just a few games. DeMarini did not give a shit. I home doctored the knob and got a few more games out of it for him. Got a replacement knob from Big Dawg which looked like they molded it in their garage. Knob needed some customization to work..Beyond the average Dad with no tools and limited skills. Big Dawg knob is $69.99 plus about 10 bucks to ship. Based on the quality and the fact that it cost about .25 cents to make...it is a ripp off, but better than paying 400 for a new bat that is going to break. Unfortunately, he can not use it at his college because their bat sponsor is Easton. Big downer for the team, because most would use the Voodoo 1 because it completely smokes the competition. Old Man and Big Fan! Dream Job you got there Will!!

My knob broke on my voodoo and I used some super strong glue and screwed it back on and it works pretty good. You should give it a shot

Voodoos were nobless in 06. Its never been fixed. First thing you do with a new bat. X wrap the knob and braid the grip.

We took grip and any residue off then epoxy nob back on. Built it up like the bonesaber. Grip back on , works perfect. 3 months into it no problems
