Great work, guys! I know people want to point out that a mile, or 2 an hour isn’t a big deal but ask the guys that got snapped off by a first baseman on a backside laser. 1 mph faster gets by them. Love your work; keep it up. While you’re at it, try my signature Psyborg, or Balanced USA Hype!
Whats up Will! As for exit velo testing, I think you've seen some of my videos on the page. What I've noticed is that for more rec league type players, the overall difference in exit velo is pretty small no matter what bat they use. It's the higher end players who seem to get the largest improvements in swing speed from using a well broken in anarchy vs say a monsta. I also swung the Axe ASA and I agree strongly with your review. I actually found it a little easier for me to drop the pinky, but my swing speed is probably around 10mph slower than yours so that's probably why it didn't hurt my hands as much as yours. Overall though I didn't love it, but I have heard some amazing things about the utrip version.
Thanks for doing more ASA/USA stuff! Really enjoy the videos! I have a Monsta Grunt style that's the torch juiced (your mad hatter with and half ounce endload) if you want to borrow it for a video.
Before I really had my swing down, I used to love the Axe bats and hit some shots with them but as I got the wrist snap down I had the same problems and had to go back to using regular knob bats. I also think the softball snap can cause you to hit the ball away from the intended hitting zone. Just a theory.
Just got an avenge pro end load and I really like the handle I have a problem with regular knobs I end up turning my hand and jamming the knob into the palm of my bottom hand and I just can't get the hang of dropping fingers off the bat so this has really helped but I guess that goes to what you said about preference
For me the performance on these needed to be a step above the rest to commit to them. I felt like I would have to adjust my whole swing to be comfortable with it. Like you’ve proven here it’s just not the case. I really wanted to like it, just couldn’t.
I use it to go oppo and that's it, every once in a while I end up hitting absolutely NUKES on accident with it. But my Demarini is far better for power, I also hang a pinky
Looking into either the Axe Avenge Pro or Demarini Steel for my league that requires the dual stamp. Any recommendations? Review coming for Dual Stamped version?
@@davidmccright3764 ohhh, I would go and try and find a Demarini Future. I loved that dual stamp bat, It crushes the hard balls. Those balls would demolish a Steele. Steele wouldn’t last a season with those hard balls. Blue/Green/USA future for sure!
not a gimmick guy...it seemed like balls you hit to center went well but if you tried to turn on one where you have to roll your wrists, not a keeper....plus hitting on just one side of the bat would bother me
Try to get your hands on this Axe Bat. It’s the OG of the AXE softball bats I’m pretty sure. I bought it when it came out and the thing had an insane amount of pop on it. I highly suggest doing a review on it if you can get your hands on it. I was hitting the ball over 330ft fences off the tee with ease. I sold it because they don’t let us use composite in leagues around where I’m at and it would be terrible going from that bat to a regular bat every week for league ball and tournaments. axebat.com/products/2019-avenge-asa-slowpitch-softball-bat
