I pray that they finally get their child . Better yet ,twins. My fingers are crossed. Please give us an updated story about their journey. They are a beautiful family. Unconditional love is amazing to watch.

I hope they conceive. I'm in the same boat as this guy but I'm single. It takes an amazing and educated person to both understand that an HIV + undetectable person cannot transmit the virus, and also to accept that person and that's like finding a diamond in the rough.

@@petithibou1891 that is you not everyone. In Spain the treatment is free, and there is not way to transmit it of you are on tablet. One tablet per day, there are not babies with HIV in Spain, none Born with it. There is not any risk of transmission, and is TOTALLY FREE.

How old is this? Why doesn't he just take his HIV medication and reach an undetectable level?? There is no risk of transmission when one is undetectable and taking meds.. (ART medication)

I have a question. Hemophilia is in both families. Both can give the disease to their baby. She can be a conductor and he has the gen defect. Is that no topic in this relationship? I‘m a female hemophiliac.

I'm also curious about this. That's a risk. I understand his desire and believe people should be able to have children (within reason), but I honestly have some questions about this specific relationship....

Both times the test came back negative I had both fingers crossed. There healthcare should pay to help this couple have a baby no matter the cost. The people effected by contaminated blood isn’t his fault. They deserve a baby so very much!

I agree. Though not with "no matter the cost," I do agree they should be given reasonable accommodation. I'm actually a bit taken aback that countries like that with superior systems don't compensate those afflicted. They didn't ask for congenital diseases because of poor science or process.... Just sucks. Life really is unfair.

This is so hard. I had a patient who had an exact scenario where he got infected from the factor 8 infusion as a baby. Extremely difficult to even imagine .

Wow it is so unfair that he caught HIV this way. I mean it is unfair anyways but he was just a child, it's like he has been doomed since the beginning. If they want to have a child, why not considering adoption ?

How old is this documentary? Maybe I'm not understanding something but with current treatment if you are undetectable you can't pass the virus .

The video is from long ago. Now in days he could be in treatment and be so supressed he cant pass the virus, and she can be on prep to prevent infection.

Trust me,you do want to have a child with someone you truly love.To made some tiny person from all the love.I was unable to get pregnant 6 years,I went on 5 ivf ,paid by ourselves and that failed.I had very low ,almost non existent AMH.Which means very low reserves of eggs.And I gave up and inside me I was so sad and dissapointed....And year after that Im pregnant naturally.That is a miracle.Doctors said that I would not have kids of my own,just with donor eggs.They were wrong! I hope you will find true love and want to have a kid

Let's forget about the HIV, the government etc. I was watching the adorable, innocent little one who is already in the world and hopefully she gets enough and so much positive attention as well but maybe Im just getting old and :-) and of course its not an offence and I did not want to hurt anybody
