Yeah man, started raving 1990 with the early hardcore scene then hammered the happy hardcore 95-97. 42 now and still blasting it out...rave till the grave 😜😜😜
You and me both mate, turned 41 a couple of months ago and still listen to the happy hardcore, love it in the car. Although I've about 10 choice sets of more recent HTID, Raver Baby etc that I listen to in the gym. Still nothing like Stu Allen & MC Connie at Kinetic tho circa 94/95.
i'm 42 and a true hardcore raver, my favourite set of all time was in 94 at Howden Stu Allen Natz and JD Walker. there's some good stuff in recent years but the old stuff still kicks it's ass :)
To this day I still rate this as the best ever Kick off set. They went in hardcore with 3 of the best DJs and 2 best MCs. I miss AIR it was such a good place to Rave
While a postgraduate research student, my next-door neighbour used to blast my head-off with his annoying hard-core music , oplaying till wee hours of the money. After many months of complaints and verbal tirades between us, the 'noise won't go away. In the end, I got conditioned to it: I went to ask him to lend from him a couple of his tapes. this was 1993. Now I am knocking on 60, I cannot stop listening to rave! Hardcore forever.

I'm so glad I found this! I still have the original, it won't play anymore, but I can't bring myself to throw it away. I'll be smashing this out for years to come 😊🔥❤😁
I am so lucky that I came to Japan just as the hardcore scene here was taking off. I miss my raving days so much, Tokyo was an incredible underground hotbed. Catching up on earlier sets like this are a treasure trove.

Can never kill hardcore. Massive part of my life growing up. Only 27 now, but age 5 onwards my family engraved this music in me. Would carry my Walkman everywhere I went age 9, binder full of cds, spending all my birthday money on every new hardcore cd that dropped. Diversified my music preference now but I'll never let go of hardcore 💪
Perfectly aware that this is not the most current EDM around and maybe I am biased by way of nostalgia/old age. That said, I LOVE this set. Thanks, assasin161. I will always love my hardcore and this is a perfect example of why.
Ummm, yeah, I know, that's why I said "I will always love my hardcore". I will always love my DnB, Breaks, Trap and Garage too... as just a handful of many sub-genres of [E]lectronic [D]ance [M]usic. But thanks for the attempted education ;)
This is Happy Hardcore at some of its best. Early 2008 is my guess. It is pre the term of EDM. EDM is such a broad term that it doesn't make sense. This is UK HHC.
100% agreed man. Pre-dates "EDM" by literally decades. Probbaly falls under "EDM" now, I think you would agree, because its electronic dance music, but I take your point and, yep, you are right.
My best marra Alex mapes just died but he fucking loved the hard core so shout out to ma boy anyone rocking this mix still this is for you laddo fucking rock it
