I'm convinced that SHMA became what it is today when NECA bowed out, basically giving them no competition. They became so confident to the point where they became overconfident. Even when HIYA came out and started cooking, whoever is in charge of SHMA probably has the mindset of, "Oh, they're just a bunch of rookies, we're the OGs, people will stay loyal to us no matter what." Well, look where that's gotten them. But I seriously doubt they even care at this point.

When hiya does scar king, they should give him an extra grinning face one just smiling and one with grinning teeth. They shouls also get the standard whip, then have another whip in 2 pieces from when Godzilla bit it in half. This would be so awesome! Though I’d understand if they don’t do all of that because that’s a lot to ask for.

I love how goji will be able to do very similar poses to Kong it really shows how agile they plan on making him and how much they care about the fans

Honestly, I personally believe that Hiya Toys is definitely on a roll here. The primary examples from SDCC, WonderFest, and this year's Japan Expo show how well they've improved the articulation systems, all thanks to customers' feedback and suggestions. Most exciting are the upgraded Evolved Godzilla and Shimo as well. And if I recall correctly, Hiya Toys does confirm that many new Kaiju from both Toho and MonsterVerse are coming to their figure roster, assuming that Final Wars Godzilla and KiryuGoji will eventually be one of them much sooner than expected since they've done some of the Millennium Godzillas like GMK Godzilla and Godzilla 2000 so far, before the end of this year, to be precise.

Hiya has literally set a new standard for Godzilla figures. Their line is only about 5 years old and they have both Godzilla and Kong doing SUPERHERO LANDING POSES 🤯🤯🤯 This is quite literally peak action figure engineering, something Bandai lost the integrity to do. I knew back when SDCC came around and Bandai’s figures started looking watered down from the OG promotional pictures that they were losing this race.

I’ve been wanting to get my hands on the sh monster arts showa Godzilla 1972 figure but I got to say I rather wait for a hiya toys Showa Godzilla 1972 now seeing the upgrades they been putting on their figures and in fact I basically don’t know if I want the Sh figure anymore I mean sure some of them are good but hiya I basically on another level I do hope they cook even more better figures like burning Godzilla, or Kiryu or even a Kaiser Gihdora and even figures that have never been thought to be made, imagine the possibilities man! Imagine if they make monsters that have only been on games like Bagan, or super Godzilla all though those are really unlikely it would be absolutely badass!

Hiya toys has made me very happy A lot they are like a new version of neca and I am definitely going to be very patient and just give hiya toys time and patience for them to cook us good figures

And that's one of reasons why I stop collecting Monsterarts since 2019 since Tamashii Nations (or Bandai) doesn't care about fans. I stop collecting Monsterarts because they're too expensive, shelf space, qc issues and most of figures don't look accurate to suits/CG models from movies.

I don't hate S.H.Monsterarts but it's just their figures are not looking good. Oh and the other day as I'm writing this comment my S.H.Monsterarts gigan 1972 fell of my shelf accidently and one of the wings broke off + and one of the claws at the side of gigan's mouth broke off as well. But yeah hiya is definitely better than S.H.Monsterarts! And I hope the hiya Godzilla 2014 comes out soon!

I think HIYA has really hit a new groove now. All of their stuff that’s coming I think could be considered “next gen” figures. Insane articulation, screen accuracy, and low prices they have it all. I knew we were in for a treat since I saw the quality that the upgraded 2014 Goji had a few months ago at SDCC

I agree with you 1000% about SHMA. The quality of their products do not reflect what they are charging. They have gotten lazy unfortunately. It's a shame because I love SH Figuarts Star Wars figures. The fact that they have not even updated their hideous , completely non-screen accurate Kong head sculpt in years is a disgrace. How is HIYA kicking SHMA's ass, when Bandai has a much larger budget? SHMA only concerned with $$$$$ at this point and not their product. Once Hiya nails their articulation, SHMA has a real big problem. I am happy that a small company like HIYA is giving Bandai stiff competition on price and screen accurate products. Reminds me of Hot Toys and INART. Hot Toys, like SHMA got too comfortable being #1 and got lazy and here comes HIYA TOYS. Ironically, I purchase SHMA because SHMA does not scale well with my SHMA figures, but I am seriously considering cancelling my pre-orders for SHMA Shimo, Evolved Godzilla and keeping my HIYA pre-orders. I mean seriously? $240 for Shimo, when it looks like an upgraded PLAYMATES figure with articulation? Another great thing about Hiya Toys, is that they actually listen to their customer feedback and make those improvements.

The moment when they released pics of Kong GvK and Kong GxK, I just realised how much regret after bought a SHMA Kong Gvk even though Hiya’s Godzilla line didn’t exist yet.

I don't think they aren't going to release the evolved godzilla that is already up for preorder to wait till the updated version since they've already displayed it a few times fully painted.

i hope they re-engineer their doughegoji figures with the new articulation system too. I love looking at and posing my 2019, but being able to move him even better would be a godsend. alternate hands too

The thing not a lot of people realize is that yes shma has gone down over the years but Bandai does NOT need your money from this line which means they really don’t care they put these out as a side way to get money

Been a Monsterarts collector since 2012 and man has this line fallen off hard. We still get bangers from time to time but the consistency is gone and the line isn't worth the premium anymore. Hiya really has stolen the throne by the looks of it, and I'm glad to see it. Bandai Tamashii is not handling the property well.

I do think hiya is way better the only figure i don't really like is their kong I'm not hating he looks amazing don't get me wrong i just personally don't really like his head and arms i prefer the sh kong but that's the only one everything else hiya has done is way better than sh though

I don't like Sh Monsterarts because I don't like the Cheap Plastic Sh Monsterarts used. I've got my 1972 Sh Monsterarts Godzilla. The soft, smooth joints on the thigh and the base of the tail is so soft, so smooth it literally feels like those joints on the figure are Extremely Loose. But I'm pretty sure that's the design Sh Monsterarts purposely wanted for this Godzilla 1972 figure to be so smooth, soft and fully posable. It's crappy and extremely cheap for me and it's not worth $100. You mention Accessories, I don't care about accessories unless it Improves the Figures and it's not just Godzilla figures, it's Any Figures. Hiya Toys made the Energized Godzilla 2024 and it came with 2 fist hands OK, is that supposed to improve the figure? I'd rather buy a small white led light and see the Energized Godzilla in his pure and clear see threw blue then 2 set of fist hands. Again, to me the accessories need to be necessary and make the Figure Better if not then I'm not buying a figure with Unnecessary Accessories. I remember a few RU-vidrs complain about Hiya Toys Godzilla 2021 and 2019 Godzilla figures. The abdomen for the Hiya Toys Godzilla should have more articulation in the abdomen beside just a One cut on the side movement and they're saying Godzilla can only move sideway. I agree because Hiya Toys nowadays is aiming for Extremely Amazing articulation but, what about that abdomen area is that all we're getting for that part is just side movements for all these New Releases from Hiya Toys? At least Sh Monsterarts they focus on the area of the abdomen making Godzilla's abdomen move smooth and realistic like real Humans. Imagine if Godzilla couldn't move his abdomen very low almost touching his own thighs Godzilla wouldn't be able to run or hunch down looking for his enemy or his kid! Yeah, Hiya Toys work on those Abdomen PLEASE! I don't care about posable spines, I don't care about unnecessary accessories I barely use Accessories from Sh Monsterarts or Hiya Toys. Just give me a Extremely Realistic Amazingly posable Godzilla figures from the franchises and make the Godzilla as Accurate to the Suits and CGI as humanly possible and very nicely paint job.

Hiya be wining but when will hiya make a GvK Mechagodzilla because the only one that is out right now is a Over price silver dinosaur (Mechagodzilla)and a new one, which was just a revealed and that 1 looks so good and 2 has Accessories that were much needed.

It's no lies that s.h.monsterarts as a line has fell off, every purchase of their figures feel like a gamble, i just keep praying that there won't be any QC issues every time I click pay, now i just hope Hiya can continue their quality and keep on improving cause I have enough of shm's bullshit, i just want a good Shin and Minus one Godzilla figure that is accurate to what's shown on the promote images
