Hizero Review 2023 - Worth it over the Bissell CrossWave?

If you are looking at the Bissell Crosswave, you might want to take the time to also look at the Hizero. You will spend a bit more money on the Hizero, but it is certainly worth it. Not only is it a better quality, more serviceable unit, but it leaves your floors cleaner!
What’s special and unique about this review is that it’s not only coming from someone who sells them, but I took it home and actually used it. Selling it and using it are two different things, and now that I have actually been using it consistently in my home, I’m sure I will be better prepared to determine whether it will be a fit in your home too.
If you have any questions after watching this video about your particular situation, please don’t hesitate to comment below, email us or text or call.
If you DO decide to purchase a Hizero, please consider purchasing it from www.VacMD.com when you do you help a small business, our prices are competitive, and if for some reason they aren’t we will price match, and we have free shipping. So an overall, all-around win.
BUY HIZERO HERE: www.vacmd.com/...
I hesitated from using this machine for a while. I think it’s because in my head I couldn’t understand how it could deep clean a floor. But once I used it I realized solid surface floors don’t need “deep cleanings.” Sure grout lines or carpeted surfaces that are textured and absorb dirt might need a deep cleaning, but on tile, marble, wood, vinyl and laminate, the dirt just sits on the surface. And the Hizero is more than capable of cleaning it.
Positives
-Easy to use
-Super quiet
-Eliminates the need to vacuum prior to mopping
-Effortlessly picks up wet and dry messes (except simulated poop, but who wouldn’t have just wiped that up?)
-Excellent for human and pet moms alike but we focused on the pet mom scenarios: Pet hair, drool, muddy paw prints, cat litter, poop 💩 also did spaghetti. I tried cleaning a rug but it won’t do it…you shouldn’t clean rugs with moisture anyway…check out my video on dry carpet cleaning: • Best Way to Remove Sta...
Tips
You can use it with or without a cleaner. The cleaners I suggest will depend on your surface but for my tile surface I used Moeller Stone Care HMK P324:
HMK P324: www.vacmd.com/...
Edge cleaning was impressive.
It leaves the surface with very little moisture. It doesn’t pour on liquid, so if you have a moisture sensitive flooring like wood this is great for that.
I wasn’t left with any streaking when I used the plain water or our P324 cleaner.
I use plain water for a week and let me tell you when I started using the P324 it doubled its cleaning power. The floors looked so much cleaner.
Just like the convenience of cordless vacuums allows you to vacuum more often, the same goes for the Hizero. I literally wash my floors more often now.
Tips
Just wet the outside of the roller
Clean the roller after each use
Clean the dirty tank and remove dry debris
Buy a second roller
I washed my roller and tanks in the dishwasher and they came out great
Negatives
The negatives aren’t reasons to not buy it, they are more just a PSA so you are properly prepared for what you’re committing to.
You HAVE to maintain it after every use or at least you should. You certainly need to empty the tanks and clean them every time you use it and also remove the cleaning roller and rinse it off.
Every few uses you should check for hair…because even though our dogs don’t have long hair…the hair still got wrapped up inside.
But this will happen with any wet dry unit like this whether it be a Bissell, or a shark. They have spinning components that hair will get wrapped around.
Doesn’t clean the stuck on for days older dirt…but if you’re using this often as it’s designed to do, you shouldn’t have an issue.
You will have to get used to using it at a slower pace. It’s not meant to be whipped around quickly like a vacuum.
Hizero has been on the market for many years. I love that the company puts all their eggs into one basket. They focus on their one product only, which makes it super high quality. I also love that it is serviceable when needed, but trust me, if you take care of this unit, it will take care of your floor for years to come!

Ah, hi Kim, have not seen you in a while. Interesting unit, but not best for me. My floors are that fake wood laminate stuff. I also do not have dogs and such. That said though, my hard floors get dirty fairly quickly, well especially in the so-called kitchen area. I used to sweep first and then use a Swiffer, but discovered that it leaves behind residue that makes the floors get dirty twice as fast and it is expensive. Now I either use a broom or little stick vac to pick up the loose stuff first and then I have a good Bissel steam mop, not a Crosswave or anything, just a straight steam mop that is almost too powerful for the floor. I have to keep it on the low setting and not keep it in one spot too long for fear of effecting the adhesive of the slats or what have you. It uses just distilled water and washable microfiber pads. It is corded, but the cord is super long. It really cleans my floors though. Yes, folks, please purchase your Hizero, vacuum, mop or whatever from VacMD! You will be glad you did. I got my vacuum from there and could not have done better. Kim knows what she is talking about and whether you are in Florida or California or whatever, you get support.

Well done video. I have been thinking of getting one of these for awhile. However, I have been holding out for Hizero to release the latest gen F500 model to the US market. It's not a major upgrade from the F803, but it's slightly easier to clean the rollers and pet hair out of it after use. Do you know if the F500 will be released soon in the US? I know Canada already has it. Thanks!

I have a mix of polished timber and polished concrete. I presume just water for the polished concrete but what do you recommend for polished timber floor boards (cypress pine)?

Just water or you can use a small amount of Fred’s with water: www.vac.md/product-page/fred-s-soclean-wood-floor-cleaner

I would use a wood floor cleaner for both surfaces. Fred’s makes the best wood floor cleaner. www.vacmd.com/products/freds-soclean-wood-floor-cleaner?_pos=2&_sid=1091bd780&_ss=r

Great video Kimberly! First of all, let me say your dog & cat are cute & adorable, you're lucky to have them 🙂. Nice product, but for me NO WAY would I buy or recommend. For me, the dealbreakers are: 1. You have to take it apart and clean it. That's HUGE....lots of small parts and it would be a hassle on a everyday basis. 2. The fact that you cannot pick up animal waste without it getting everywhere in the Hizero amd having a gross mess to clean up. What the hell were they thinking when they designed this thing - really?! A large portion of the population are pet owners, so they just alienated a HUGE part of the market by not taking into consideration easy cleanup into the design. Why would I buy this when the only advantage is that, unlike a traditional mop & bucket, the clean water is separated from the dirty water when cleaning your floor? And that goes for ALL OF THE VACUUM MOPS out there, including the Bissell Crosswave. To me, you could accomplish the same thing a lot cheaper and more conveniently by buying a microfiber pad mop, a few extra microfiber pads, and a spray bottle with water and all purpose cleaner. Just spray, wipe over the area, and change the microfiber pad when it gets too dirty. ust throw the pads in the washer , that's it. You would be accomplishing pretty much the same thing that the Hizero does, WITHOUT all the hassle to maintain it and the expensive price tag. Even if you had hardwood floors, a floor steamer would be a better choice over the Hizero.
