HJC RPHA 90s Carbon Balian and SENA Smart HJC 20B Installation 

After using this helmet for awhile now it's just going to be my around town helmet. The reason is on long highway rides it's only good when you don't have cross wind. The cross wind kills me with buffeting and it wears me out. The light weight of the Carbon also makes for a louder helmet. I did buy it for the lightweight of a Modular helmet and that you can't beat. The speaker position is fine for me. My only issue is with my winter gloves I can't really press the control module. Also, I only wish it was a USB-C connection like on my Sena 50R.

I'm actually going to try it out today for the first time. I will update you on the ride, wind nose, helmet buffeting etc. I will be riding a HD Sport Glide with a 10 inch wind screen. I might just upload a video. Thanks.

I don't think so, it's not the double D and this is my only real gripe with the helmet. I don't tightened it all the way around my chin/neck area because I have a little discomfort but I have a short and smaller neck area so this could be different for you.

@@diani5150 If the helmet is purchased from Europe you will have the metal chin attachment buckle, otherwise, if purchased in the States, it will have gold anodized D Rings. It is MUCH CHEAPER from Champion Helmets in the Netherlands, even with Express Shipping to the States!

The music is decent when riding like 40mph. At freeway speeds I don't listen to it because now you're competing with wind noise. I just use it for Coms. I use the 50R as well, this unit does sound better with better base response due to the HD speakers but it is still the same going at hwy speeds. Excellent when cruising the streets or below 40/50 mph. I believe you can upgrade to the HD speakers on 20B.

@@diani5150 Thanks for the info, I just contacted Sena, and as of this date the HD speakers are not compatible with the 20B, they are compatible with the 20S, go figure. Sena mentioned that the firmware and speaker hookup is even difference between the two models.

It will be more painful if you buy it 😂 on a serious note. Buy this if you absolutely want the lightest Modular helmet. I’ve given up riding this thing on long trips and when it’s windy. It’s noisy because it’s light and it gives me to much wind buffeting so I’m always worn out after a ride. I only use this helmet on my HD Sportglide and not my other rides. The most baffling thing about it is the Sena HJC unit. The boom mic will hinder the lid from closing and you have to slam it down or two hand close it. I got a head rush from slamming it so I just put the other mic on with the velcro and now it closes like it should. I only use it around town now.

It's made specifically for the HJC SENA 20B, the cardo speakers can fit but the module won't fit in the rear and the boom mic's wiring is to thick to fit into the cut out grooves of the helmet. If your riding partners are all on Cardos I totally understand. Luckily, all my buddies are all on Sena. They are both Hit and Misses anyways.

Just to Stay that i read in some another RU-vid video review that is possible to install the pack talk Slim ..

@@PAULOESTRELA0 If the rear piece aligns with the two screws then you can get it to work, that's the part that has to fit. Other than that you can mount the rest as normal using the cutouts for the speaker and mic wiring.

I do have a helmet stand but I couldn't find it. One day I will have a nice clean product table. thanks for chiming in.
